So, while not really a part of this thread, I just saw a new Terminator movie advertised. Gensys? Something like that.

Aliens is the greatest sequel of all-time.


Terminator 2 was better than the first.

I disagree on both counts.

Alien was a dark horror movie based on storyline and ambience. Aliens was an action flick. Both were great but Scott beats Cameron in nearly every instance.

Terminator was again more about the story while Terminator 2 was again more of an action flick. Again, both very good to great but Furlong whining throughout it set it back.

If you prefer action movies over dark and more original concepts than you will prefer the sequels but there really is no wrong answer here. Bigger budgets did help the sequels.

Beat me to it. Quite probably the biggest dropoff from the original in any sequel. Absolutely pathetic on every level.

Empire Strikes Back is the best sequel of all time.

Anchorman 2 and Caddyshack 2 are the worst of all time.
