Tom Petty is one of my favorites. The guy just kept putting out good tunes. He was also a part of the best "supergroup" ever in The Traveling Wilburies.
Full Moon Fever was a great album.
Wildflowers was a great album.
Those are 2 of my favorites from his solo career.
Love the Wilbury's!

I always thought The Marshall Tucker Band was underrated.

The friends I have that really are into the Beatles say the music got better when they started doing drugs...go figure.

There was some talent there, but the brand became much larger than the talent....great timing.

I'm not even sure I would classify this as rock, but Toto would be my nominee.

The Beatles got better when they stopped touring ... some of their music was experimental and some was just fucking great!!!!

Respectfully disagree ... I love a lot of his music, but I can do without his political preaching.

This is where I lose my shit. You better be fucking amazing if you are going to put your political stance at the forefront of your music or celebrity status.

I'm talking to you Bono, you sackless turd.

Damn. I didn't think music caused that much of an issue. I hear people chirping about slow internet during MLB postseason while I'm live streaming games, but I never hear anything about music.

I've been going through my library, listening to some of the bands we've talked about today. Sting, U2, Rolling Stones. I threw some Talking heads in there for a bit. Think I'm going to move to some Tom Waits now.

I want to like Tom Waits, but if I close my eyes when I’m listening to him, I swear I’m listening to Dikembe Mutumbo.

"Chocolate Jesus" would have been a great nickname for Dikembe

And he's shown zero ability to appreciate anything that isn't at least tangentially related to shit ass country music.

I guess we're both narrow minded then.

If you got Mutumbo problems, I feel bad for you, son.
I got 99 problems, listening to Waits ain’t one.
