I like the Beatles but I don't put them on a pedestal like you and many of the older folks here. They made some nice pop songs but they don't make my top 5.

Not a Rock star,but Michael Jackson gets my vote for most overrated musician of all time.

His music was absolutely terrible. How he became so popular is beyond me, pop is the lowest form of music. I'm ignoring his disgusting personal life and child molestation and just focusing on the music. It was all terrible.

I actually like some of the Jackson 5 stuff, and Smooth Criminal is a pretty good. But ya, he is vastly overrated when it comes to how popular he became.

I've never heard a song of his that I like. And that's saying something. Even with musicians I can't stand, for the most part they'll have at least one song that I can listen too(And after doing a little bit of reading and finding out the Stones were huge fans of Country music, they've really started to grow on me these last few weeks).

And he may not have been a kiddie diddler, but when you dangle a kid that you named Blanket off of a balcony, and suspicion of such is warranted IMO.

I'm very skeptical of that claim, too. Guy was weirder than fuck, for sure. I wasn't a fan or a hater; if you like pop music, then I guess he was your guy.
