Or, maybe I think being punished and having consequences is what causes a team to be well disciplined. Thus when I look at the first sentence of the article where the player was suspended and has consequences for his actions, on top of it being something that team discipline isn't even remotely a factor - I find his comment to be absurd.

Listen , it's not big deal other than you just wont admit to being wrong or not knowing the difference between a disciplined team or individual and the discipline a person or team gets after fucking up. You can get all the discipline in the world after you fuck up and still continue to fuck up and still continue to get disciplined and still be undisciplined. A disciplined team or individual are less likely put themselves in situations where they will mess up and therefore mess up less . Doesn't mean they are perfect. Just more disciplined. With the military reference. We were much more disciplined than your random group of 18-28 year olds. The training made us disciplined not the consequences if we fucked up.

Weeeeeeeee. Let's talk in more circles.

Figured I would quote your original comment. You've been talking in circles for so long, I'm sure you've forgotten already what you said.

I think my favorite part is......discipline is not a preventative measure. Just so I get this right, you've been talking about discipline as punishment the entire time, yet in your mind, it doesn't prevent the actions of anybody? Just so I understand completely -- if you are one of 100+ guys and you see a guy get kicked off the team for doing 'x'. You don't think it will stop others from doing 'x'? :L

If that is the case -- what is the point of disciplining anybody ever?

And FYI -- this isn't even the type of discipline I was talking about. Just wanted to point out how humorous it was that you were confused by my comment, when THAT is what you said. :pound:

The point of disciplining is to encourage and bring about a change in behavior for the better. It is not a preventive measure in itself because it's always done in response to an action.

In this case, the response was the 4th player being suspended.

Since the point of it is to bring about change, the threat of the discipline can act as a deterrent. The is the only "preventive measure" you can get from that, but no matter how much discipline is behind it, it will not prevent everything. Because it has no actual preventive measures in it.

So when you say a team isn't well disciplined and blame the coach, I look to see how the coach is responding. If the coach is handing out discipline, then the team is still well discipline - you are talking about a bad egg. And given this is a case of sexual assault, not something like being late for class, I'm not even sure how the fuck the team/coach is supposed to prevent it.

Since you believe discipline is a preventive measure, please explain to me the things Dantonio needed to do to prevent these sexual assaults from happening.

If you can't do that, please explain to me what it is that other coaches are doing to prevent it. You know, since it's a preventive measure.

I haven't paid too close attention to it but let me give you the SparkNotes version of what I understand.

For the worse part of two decades a doctor for the MSU Women's gymnastics (possibly also the US gymnastics as well) team was molesting girls and despite concerns being made to the coaching staff nothing was done. The guy is a sick fuck, I wouldn't say it was as bad as Sandusky, only because of the age of the victims. The level of incompetence that borderlines on being complicit, in my opinion, is on par with Sandusky. Fire anyone who had any knowledge of these incidents and did not bring them to the proper authorities and bring them up on accessory charges and whatever else you can throw the book at them with.

I know as men we see an old man molesting young boys as beyond sick, this bastard was doing it to little girls some who hadn't even come close to puberty. Some in the same room as their parents just under a towel with his digits. You can't say one was worse. They are both sick fucks and deserve the most painful of deaths.

You have to instill discipline before people fuck up. Look at Saban at Alabama. Every time another one of his players gets caught with guns , drugs and everything else he "punishes" them inhouse. Lot of good that does, they still continue to do the same shit. Him slapping their hand after does little. A disciplined team wouldn't have the players doing the same shit over and over.

So when I was in the military, the guy across the hall from me got in trouble for playing with underage girls. AKA Stat r*pe.

Does that mean my platoon or company wasn't well disciplined? Would you, as a result, call the entire unit and everyone else in that unit undisciplined?

You say it's the training, the training for that guy and everyone else was the same. The same conditions were applied. We all had the same consequences, but that guy ignored them and the rest didn't.

As such, it's not a reflection of anyone more than the individual and it's plain absurd to try and put the blame on anyone other than the individual.

Are you really this stupid? Does someone really need to explain this shit to you with crayons? Good Lord.
I can see why you can't come up with enough cash to go see your team play in person. You lack the IQ to read and comprehend. You should quite visiting this site and watch Sesame Street.

Most of the victims were in their teens and early twenties. He most definitely is a sick fuck who deserves a painful death. I believe only one of the charges was for assault against a child between 6-12 which was pretty much the entirety of the Sandusky victims. I did not realize that there was been 80+ complaints SO FAR. Unfortunately there is no real way for the NCAA to punish the University severely enough to for just how grossly negligent everyone was who was involved. The death penalty to the Gymnastics is not severe enough in my opinion but I see no legitimate argument to punishing the basketball or football teams which are the only places in which a dent could be made.

How does any team punish if it's not "inhouse"?

What you mean to say - he doesn't use a punishment that punishes the entire team/program/fanbase instead of just the individual. It's not the outcome you want to see because it doesn't appease your butthurt.

Alabama isn't California. If you think what Alabama players do is different than what USC players do, then you are stupid. The difference is, in Alabama - if you get caught with just a seed, you go to jail. TO FUCKING JAIL. It makes the news. In California, the worst case scenario is you get a ticket. And you aren't going to get a ticket for just a seed.

It's one of the biggest reasons I do not live in Alabama anymore. I've lived in both states and you don't even remotely understand the differences.

In Alabama you say it is a freshman's and no one questions it.

I just can't dumb it down any further. You ask questions without grasping a basic concept. So to skip that is pointless. Your question above sounds like something a six year old would come up with. I'm scared you fathered children.

I'm pretty sure there were more of those younger victims. I watched a show on it and He was around the little ones too .

In Alabama, you usually know who's gonna take the fall as soon as you get in the car. If you can't figure out who, then it's you.

The cops are retarded with that shit.

LOL. You keep posting that like a I give a shit. USC doesn't put up division banners or conference banners. Rose bowls and Championships . USC finished ranked higher than the B10, Pac 12, PAC south winners and beat all three. So your banners are worthless.
