Do you really think they were all thugs and do you really think killing people is an appropriate way to "treat" those who don't cooperate?
Exactly. They were able to take a terrorist alive recently.

He made that pretty obvious. I guess my point is that initially, there has to be attention drawn to an issue before those sorts of discussions will take place. They used a very public venue to draw attention to their cause...and they are getting an opportunity to take action now that they likely wouldn't have had before. No eye deer... But I think rickets is a douchebag.
The guy had mental health issues. Maybe, just maybe, cops should be certain it is a gun before they shoot...
The LEOs sign up for that job. If you don't have the nerve to wait and not kill an unarmed man, maybe you shouldn't be doing that job. What do you think would happen if a mentally unstable man had a gun and the officers took the time to figure out what it was while he was pointing it at them.
"Excuse me, could youhold on sir? I need to examine your hands."
"Why, yes. Just let me know when your done. Then I will start shooting."

Um...what do you think the governor would have said had MRI asked him for a meeting last week?
Yeah, you are right, shooting unarmed people is definitely the way to go.This

I think so too. Plenty of miss-perception out there. When it comes to life and death, there should be certainty.you're right when a police officer perceives someone is pointing a gun at him, he should wait and figure out if it's a gun or not

Fair enough. I will abstain from further comment...There are like 400 threads in the politics forum debating the whole "what should be considered enough cause for a cop to shoot somebody" topic. They don't ever end. Can we keep this one at least somewhat related to Nebraska?
Can I take a knee while posting for all the facepalming and winner awards Huskercradle2grave is giving out? I feel certain opinions here are being oppressed.
