Ok, I'll be the first supporter of Rose to say I'm done arguing on his behalf. The argument that you can separate his managing career from his playing career is gone. And I can't take the lying anymore. What's next, do we find out he was in on the Hoffa disappearance? I still don't believe he bet against his own team though. Even if I see it on a betting slip I will just assume he has another bookie somewhere with a different line and he was "middling" the game.

I've written about this enough times in the past but will do it again since many here were kids or not even alive when this happened. When the report was finished it was handed off to Bart Giamatti who then called in Rose to discuss it. The pile evidence was too high for Michael Jordan to jump over and Rose did not dispute it - until after Bart had passed away. Rose was told in that mtg that he either accept a lifetime ban or the FULL report would be made public. Rose accepted the lifetime ban with no questions asked. To this day we don't know 10% of what is in that report and all the proof they have of what Rose did.
Since that time he has con't to gamble and hang out at casinos , racetracks etc without a care in the world. He is gambling today , if anyone doesn't believe that they're a moron. There is no question about what Rose did and the fact he did a LOT of it. Fuck'em

he has been banned from some places over the yrs - we both have read that I would guess. Can't say I know how many places or where he's been banned from but I'm pretty sure some joints don't let him in the door. I would guess he still has bookies he deals with and always has.

There has long been a pretty solid quid pro quo established, but it's neat (and sad) to see this.
