Its the playoffs -- some times you gotta let some go and let them play. Plus, PIT is the more aggressive team from the start , so they obviously have earned the benefit of some calls especially the close ones.

We are just soft.

Its ultimately on the players -- no doubt. But the most, and a coaches biggest and most important job is to put his guys in the best position to succeed -- the rest is on them -- the problem is , on the defensive side especially -- the secondary specifically -- they've been put behind the 8-ball way too many times.

My biggest problem with this guy is his inability to make adjustments in-game and week to week which is most disturbing.

I think we used the " the players have no balls" line many times this season and the coach took a lot of the heat for it -- especially when Philbin was still around -- whys it different now?

I wouldn't call him a hot commodity. The only team he has really been tied to is the bengals job and that is simply because of the familiarity between organization and coach. I don't think any other team has even expressed interest in permission to interview him.

Any one that ask to interview him should probably be fired and banned from the NFL for life.

But if the experienced starters are all hurt how do you know if the backups are even in the right spots or making the correct reads. If the player messes up that's not on the coaches. Otherwise I don't disagree as philbin was atrocious for that.

Come on philbin stunk on offence, D and special teams. Guys get fired for that you were the only guy in the world who still wanted him. He couldn't even pull out a challenge flag...haha!
