All of them are fairly close friends.

Making it happen is feasible and less crazy than when making it happen with other teams due to the win first nature of MIA and their Big 3. Melo has also stated that he wants to win and I have to imagine his faith in Dolan has to be running low.

If the big 3 opt out and take about $12-$15m each between the 4 they are basically where the Heat are now with the big 3 and their salaries.

The questions for me come on the court. The way I imagine this happening is Melo at the SF and LBJ as a true PG on both ends of the court.

The other way would of course would be Bosh at C and LBJ/Melo at SF/PF and the back court doesn't change. I would much rather they use that money to find a legitimate Center but this is fun to think about too.

I do not think floor spacing would be an issue, all 4 are extremely versatile on the offensive end and Melo would bring some rebounding. Issues would be Melo's D and learning to play with a PG. Melo would have a ton of open iso starts with LBJ running the point and every one is drawing a double team. If they worked together they are unstoppable offensively and I have to think with the constant pressure and team accountability Melo would play D. I have seen Melo play D in the playoffs, and once on Dirk. He is not horrible.

What do you guys think?

DWade could just go ahead and retire. It'd make things a lot easier.

This discussion was started last week in the 2014 Free Agent thread.
And yes, it realistically could happen.

True. He looks awful out there these days:rollseyes:

What Wade probably will do though, is opt out and then sign a multi year at a reduced rate.

Wade looked great this year when he was playing and now his playing time has been much more consistent which is what is important.

I stopped reading the 2014 thread if that was the hurricane thread. Missed this discussion. I am more interested in the on court issues that would need to be over came.

Not happening. If I'm the heat I'm more concerned about getting a pf/c that can score in the post than getting an scorer. We don't need him.....he need us way more than we did him.

bk-

this is fan talk. i dont see riley going for it. melo doesnt play d. we dont need him. it would force lebron to power or PG.. which i dont think he wants to do either full time for 82 games. it's fun to discuss a team of wade/lebron/bosh/melo/flauge. i mean that team seems like it would win alot of titles.

@ Flauge no it is cb/melo/wade/lbj/botslayer on the court. I hit a solid 1 for 93 from 3p, hold my steak taco i got this.

I know the issues with getting them all to sign for pay cuts but lets tall how this could work on court.

@Bk completely agree about getting a center. They have a great pf in bosh.
