..In our darkest times :P
That 2010 Rose Bowl vs Ohio State. The Bucs hogged all the seats man... Had scalpers driving up the price to $200 + for Duck fans...
Never seen that big of an exodus to a Bowl game... Followed closely by Wisky at same venue... Very close...
I hope they go to NCG this year! It is in NO, close by here. No way I would go to Cali, or Miami.
You sure? Thought it was in Pasadena...
As far as teams that travel well... I think the B1G has that on lock. Were you at the Rose Bowl? Wisconsin had nearly 2/3 of the Rose Bowl filled while the other 1/3 were Duck fans.
You're lucky it was our second year in a row. I know a lot of people that would have gone but passed because they went the year before. That 2010 Rose Bowl vs Ohio State. The Bucs hogged all the seats man... Had scalpers driving up the price to $200 + for Duck fans...

Yup. I wanted to run on the field and tackle that scrawny little track guy myself.
SEC Official is right, it is the design. Compared to others the Shoe is not as loud. I was surprised at the Big House and with over 100k it was not loud at all, comparibly. But they have made some mods since I have been there to help keep sound in the stadium.
I refuse to believe Oregon is that loud with 45k people or whatever. I'm sure the acoustics make it surprisingly loud for its size... but louder than the Shoe, Camp Randall, Bryant-Denny, the Swamp, etc? No way.
To think the LSU crowd registered their earthquake sitting on their hands screaming is naive. We all know on that play the entire crowd jumped to their feet and were going nuts jumping up and down.
thats my point jumping up and down causes the Richter reading not the screaming and yelling.
Heck, right now, the Vols won't even travel from Knoxville to Nashville to watch their team lose to Vandy.
That surprises me too. 1) For possible engineering or even safety concerns. 2) For bragging rights... durr.I agree its not the noise causing it but those moments are probably some of the loudest moments in sports. The don't keep db meters in every stadium sadly so its hard to get a real reading of the loudest. I wish schools would do that though, it would be awesome to see how high the schools could crank the meters up.

Yeah but the problem is where do you put it to make sure you have the loudest area. and you cant really keep it on the field either.
I was going to suggest near each team's benches. Then you can measure that difference as well.Behind the visitors bench at the 50? Just don't announce where the node is and put the results up on the scoreboard
