It’s getting more and more clear that the NFL should just make sacking the QB 2 hand touch … Seriously, that way defensive players know what to do and we won’t have all these ridiculouy stupid roughing the passer calls that ARE not roughing half the time … NFL and there ridiculous protecting the QB rules are insulting to football …

If it's still tied after OT, then just give the team with the most yards produced the win.

That’s an interesting thought …
Yeah, the thought crossed my mind one day: "Why do we even need OT? If it's tied after 4 quarters, give the team with the most yards produced the win. If the two teams had the same yards, then go for the most first downs."

The only thing I could come up with is: If it's tied 16-16 or whatever, a team could decide to run the ball and kill the clock instead of going for the win.

If we truly cared about player safety, then the shortest OT is the most effective one.

I like the idea of needing clutch points though to put a game away, enjoy the drama … I think the NFL should go to college rules personally, but start from mid field or even from your own 40 so you’re not in auto field goal range …

I didn't see this game, but I did watch the Seahawks @ Packers game...and that was rough. To those NFL fans who watched this game and the Packers game back-to-back - I salute your intestinal fortitude. :puke:

The worst part of the whole game was that it just wouldn't end.

Yesterday in Saints/Titans game they called late hit on Tannehill that he threw interception. Bad call and couple plays later Titans scored a TD. Huge swing in the game.

I like that NFL now goes up to video replay on some calls... unsure the criteria... but these types of calls should be reviewed (how many steps, looks like tried to hold up some etc...).

Blecchh. That team likely has more turnovers if the game is tied. No need to put on a time limit on OT, let 'em play till they drop if they can't decide it in regulation. Plenty of guys on the sideline if the starters are too tired, test that depth; still better than a tie.

Shit show of a game. Neither team deserved to win.

Facing off against one of the worst teams against the run, and with a backup JAG, and they throw 50 times.

But, unfortunately predictable.

Detroit has a TERRIBLE rush defense.

But this would be a Tomlin classic where he plays down to the competition and tries to air it out against their good DB's.

Lions and Steelers kissing and holding hands while they skip to a tie!

@FaCe-LeE-uS @SteelersPride @thedddd @Superbelt Show your faces today!
Oh this is how I fully expect that shit show to end up.
The Steelers let a shitty QB throw the ball FIFTY times against an awful run defense. It truly pisses me off it ended in a tie because the Lions deserved to win. It is just a shame Ryan Santoso is the kicker equivalent to Mason Rudolph.

Let me add if the NHL can get rid of ties, then any league can. Not saying much since Bettman might be the most incompetent Commissioner in all of sports

I like the concept of putting 10 minutes on the clock. If it is still tied, then go with the team with the most yards produced. Ties in the NFL are the only thing I truly dislike.
