That’s true. All good QBs have a few bad stretches. Definitely a down year for him, but I went about 20 years hoping for a QB like Goff. A lot of teams have.

Exactly. The kid is still pretty young, and he's already shown real talent. He'll have a nice career.

Yes there was a lack of respect. Me being one of them. Hell of a season 49 fans.

The 49ers played excellent, mistake-free, 1970's football against an overrated 'Dream Team'...and they completely dominated them. Congratulations to the 49ers.

It doesn't disguise issues concerning the 49ers passing offense. Give Garoppolo a 6-foot space all around him and time and he's as good as any QB in the NFL. When he doesn't have space and time his mechanics look erratic and his decision-making is poor. The O-Line's pass-blocking is suspect and outside of the star TE their receivers are not good. Shanahan has been masterful with his playcalling and use of formations. His smoke and mirrors approach to hiding his team's offensive flaws has gotten the best out of the limited talent at his disposal.

I'm not convinced it will hold up against the Rams or the Seahawks. At some point they'll be 10+points behind in the 2nd half of a game. That's when we'll see what they really are.
After further review...the O-Line's pass-blocking ISN'T suspect and whilst the receivers still aren't good they have shown significant improvement.

...espect to you.

However, if you didn't like the "knob gobbling of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, gushing about how he is the greatest QB in history" in Post #1, then the next few months are probably going to be rough.

Watched the show "Get Up" on ESPN This morning and for the entire two hours not a peep about the team with the best record in football.
After starting off with the usual knob gobbling of Patick Mahomes and the Chiefs, gushing about how he is the greatest QB in history we moved on to the obligatory stuff about Dallas playing great football and having an unstoppable offense and the usual "Dak must get paid" nonsense after beating a team that is tanking. Then we moved on to the Patriots and the brilliance of Tom Brady and Bill Bellichick after beating a team that is using its third string QB. We then heard all about the Rams beating the "mighty" Browns in Cleveland and how they are Super Bowl bound afte barely squeeking out this one. We moved on to the same old nonsense about Green Bay being 3 and oh despite odhes and the new head coach not being on the same page but so good that they win anyway. finally we then even heard about how the 3 and oh Bills are undefeated and are "for real"

Every 3 and oh team and even some 2 and 1 teams like the Saints, but not a peep about the 49ers in the entire two hours. Ridiculous. The surprise team of the year and we can't find a single thing to say about them?

They're losers. What else do you need to know?

This is a good a thread as any to post this song. That dark stuff in the bottom of mouth is probably acid. Just saying.

kinda ironic that the "Knob gobbling" team and qb, shoved it down the 49'ers throat.

They now have the media coverage and will be under the microscope from here on out so there shouldn't be anymore complaining.
