at Lambeau in June............

I bought the Mrs. tix for her n I to go June 20th.......

Never been to Lambeau and its been a big dream of mine to make some day.
well now that its gonna be a reality, yeah I know for me a bear game would be better lol,I was wondering the ins-n-outs of where to stay and eat.

I`m pretty much pumped fpr this myself.
I`m gonna be looking for the brick that I bought for my dad and two brothers that are diehard GBP fans.(I just don`t know what got into them)lol

My dad is gone and so is one of my brothers and the other one has just a few months left before he is gone too,so this will be a fun,but sad trip for me.......

I am looking forward to this and would like some of your input on what to do and where eat..........thanks in advance.

ps.......yes I will be wearing my Bears hat proudly.

Yes there is a Casino in Green Bay called the Onieda. It is across the road from the Green Bay Airport and is attached to the Radison Hotel. It is about a 10 minute ride to Lambeau Field from the casino.

As far as places t eat I am not a big expert as I live 2 1/2 hours away and have not ate at many places up in the area other than at the casino, there is a place across the road from Lambeau called Krolls West which I hear is good. There is a nice place to eat in the atrium of Lambeau called Curly's Pub. I think Fuzzys which was owned by Fuzzy Thurston a former Packer was more downtown and not all that close to the stadium.

I saw you mention that you were going to take a tour of Lambeau and if you are doing that I would also recommend that you take a tour of the Packer Hall of Fame. I am not recommending that so you would see all of the Packer history but more because it goes way back to the 1920's and there is a good history of football and the games played at that time and the history of the NFL with the old teams like the Packers and Bears.

They are just finishing up some remodeling that has been going on over the last few years and the Hall of Fame has been closed for over a year as the remodel project moved the location on the Hall of Fame within Lambeau Field but it is suppose to open again in April of this year.

As far as where to stay at the casino or near the stadium I guess would depend on what you feel will be keeping you most busy. The Hall of Fame and Stadium tours would take half a day or so and then you have the concert as well so could spend a good day near the stadium. I myself would stay by the casino as it gives you things to do when not occupied by stadium activities. Where is you stayed near the stadium and were done with stadium activities there may not be as much to do.

I would just check on room availability as I am sure many reservations were made when the concert was announced.

We most likely will stay at the hotels around the stadium and visit the casino Friday night.
I collect poker chips for my basement bar and that's a must have.
And lambeau is a must to do thing on my list.
Althought taking in a Bear/Packer game would be the ultimate visit, this gives me a chance to do it while nice and warm.lol
As I mentioned in my first post,i grew up in a house where my Dad and two bros. were GB and STL.cardinal fans.me being the only Chicago fan was tough.lol
I had also bought a commemorative brick with their names on it that I definetley gotta find.(my Dad and one of my bros. has passed within the last two years with my other bros. health is diminishing rapidly.he will be lucky to see summer. All from cancer.(along with my Mother from cancer too 3 yrs ago)
So going there has a lot of meaning to me.

I`m definetley gonna make it a memorable one.

Thanks for the input.
