Nowhere in that article does Luck state that 9 wins a season is unacceptable.

Luck, "I didn't believe we had an opportunity to win a national championship with the direction of the program. Have to win the BE championship."

From these quoted comments, it appears to me that he did a thorough inspection of the program... it included W/L records... football recruiting... coaching staff... fan support... to help him make his decision.

But, he never said 9 win seasons were unacceptable.

So... I think I see a pattern. Programs like Okie St and Baylor have senior laden offensive lines helping their new QB's... last year with Okie St... this year with Baylor.

This year's WVU football team has a new OL coach... 4 new starters on the line... a new QB... and, several new WR's.

Let's see if there is improvement throughout the season before jumping to any conclusions about whether the coaches can coach... or whether kids have bought in.

Still early...

It's telling, shows what many of us knew in the offseason but HOPED we could overcome. We are just freggin young! Young = struggles in D1CFB. However with just a little imagination picture these guys in '14 and 15 when the massive recruits that we have verbaled right now for '14 with the younger guys we have now cutting their teeth meshing with a 2/3 year starter in Ford and Smallwood,DG,Shell and co. in the run game... As upperclassmen. That's what we have to keep in perspective and personally I'm excited about what I think these guys can do with some time.
