Rodgers could have at least made the playoffs.

We all know Brady needs elite players around him, so NO.

They have both has winning seasons with some pretty bad defenses. Because unlike Brees, they dont put even more pressure on their shitty defense by turning the ball over.

I think Rodgers gives any team "a chance"

Yeah I agree, lets not forget that Rodgers has played his entire career with pretty sub-par defenses, although not Saints level bad....But he is the most equipped QB in the NFL to overcome a shitty defense, but too much to ask him to overcome a shitty set of receivers and RB's like last season

Yet Drew only turned the ball over 11 times last year, 8 less than the year before.

He did cut down on them this year. But he also had some bad ones late in close games.

You might be confusing Drew with McCown who threw the int against Carolina. Drew has not thrown ints late in close games all year. The only close games the saints lost were Tennessee, TB, Carolina week 13, Detroit. Detroit was a rally effort. Tennessee forced OT when saints missed FG. I don't recall a int being thrown to lose the second game to Carolina. TB? Well, Brees was playing with a shoulder injury.

The problem with the Saints D is that their pass defense was far and away the worst in the NFL in efficiency last year. Any lead a QB would get would immediately disappear. Footballoutsiders had the average pass play against the Saints 48.1% for effective than the average play.

Thats worse than the 2-14 2009 Lions pass D and the 2008 Lions pass D for perspective. I went back to 2000 and I couldn't find a team who had a pass D that was a close to as bad as the one the Saints had last year.

Probably never a QB alive that could have gotten that team to 10 wins.

Tom Brady is a liability on the best or worst team in the league.

The Packer's bad defenses don't even compare to the Saint's defense. I don't think either Brady or Rodgers could make the Saints a contender until some serious changes were made to the roster.

I don't think any of them are doing much with a team that allows 29.8 points per game

Saints D wasn't just bad but historically awful. You can say Brees put them in bad positions by turning the ball over, but reality is the Saints D averaged the 10th most favorable starting field position of any D last year (despite giving the offense the 23rd best). Reality is that D had 12 drives all season start in their own territory (4th lowest in the league). And they gave up the most yards per drive and points per drive with that great field position.

Drew had 11 picks and 3 fumble turnovers last year. 14. In 682 passes, sacks/Runs. One every 49 plays he made. His interception rate last year was 1.8% which was lower than any QB but Rodgers EVER for their career. Rodgers is at 1.6, so 1 INT last year off of the best pace you could possibly ever hope for last season but with a lower fumble rate.

And he was doing that with a bottom 5 run game and historically bad D playing behind a LOT. The worst pass D ever, bottom run D of the season (dead last in YPA allowed), bottom 5 run game... It was a mess everywhere but QB.

Aaron Rodgers twice had a D outside the top 20, Not historically awful, just outside the top 20. 6-10 one year, 6-3 the other. Tom Brady never had a D outside the top 20. 2 years at 17th in points allowed and he won 9 and 10 games the only years his has been below average.

I don't see either winning more than 7

The Saints wouldn't have the cap for both Brady and Rodgers.
