I'm pretty sure the earliest he could return is week 16 against Minnesota (the team that knocked him out).

I was thinking 12/17 against the Panthers but I've been wrong plenty of times.

From what I've read he's pain free, just waiting on the bone to heal.

Could be. It's in there somewhere - eligible before season's end, I know that.

It's incredible that the Packers have only been to one SB despite having Rodgers at QB.

Yeah especially considering they went to that one as a 6 seed.

And honestly, who didn't think Ben was gonna pull a rabbit out of his hat on that last drive?

He shouldn't rush back and jeopardize his career.

Agreed. That's why I'm glad to see Hundley improving, both because it gives the Packers a chance in the NFC and also hopefully allows Rodgers to heal correctly and not further hurt himself.

I can somewhat buy this, considering how young they are overall and the number of backups they seem to throw in all the time.

Possibly. With all the turnover you would think Capers would dumb it down a bit to avoid confusion. Then again, they're professionals and get paid handsomely to do their job.

This is why I don't lay all the blame on Capers. In the end, the players must execute.

I do. As the DC he has to get it fixed, but we see the same issues every game. If players are consistently having communication problems or are out of position then i put the blame on the coaches and DC. This has been on going for years now. This defense gets beat by pedestrian QBs on a regular basis and the only thing that would save them was Rodgers. They get knocked out of the playoffs every year mainly due to the inept defense that cant get off the field on 3rd down. I dont expect the defense to hold all their opponents to zero points every game but i at least expect them to force a punt during a game like when they played the lions.

I think that lack of a pass rush is the biggest issue on this team other than injuries

Steelers came storming back and were gonna take that lead and demoralize GB, then Matthews got the perfect hit on Mendenall and the ball popped loose. Wind was out of Pittsburgh's sails after that

"Pickett, spill it!"

Desmond Bishop picked up that fumble. I remember it like was yesterday.

What a great Super Bowl from 2 very deserving teams.

It was awesome. I was there! Me and a buddy drove to Dallas from Jacksonville. It took us 39 hours because of the snow storm. Spent two night in a Ford Focus because of getting snowed off of the interstates lol

I'm jealous that you have that story to tell :suds:

The best story I have is being at Favre's 200th consecutive start against the Rams at Lambeau in 2004.

That or maybe MM got cocky with him and didn't run on a day when the defense kept this a winnable game.

An absolutely horrible performance by Hundley. Somebody ought to slap that chewing gum out of his mouth.
