There is so much upside in recruiting a kid like Sills. As you noted, bring him in and see if you can work out the chinks of his motion. However, you know there was a hidden motive. The kid is a freak athlete. They had him try out the WR position on the scout team... wink... wink.

He blew away the coaches, and was asked to burn a redshirt to test his skills at WR to help the team win. He excelled in his first game. A true natural...

It is hard to change mechanics. Like you said, when you're under pressure... the old habits return.

Tebow tried like hell to change his motion. Pat White tried like hell...

AS I SAID, there was mis seeding........WVU got a better seed than we deserved, and SFA got a worse seed than deserved. Did you read or watch TV in the week before the tourney started??? SFA over WVU was the upset MANY people picked, MOST of the "experts" felt that SFA deserved a better seed.

Had Manchin kept his pie hole shut, Jimbo would have been our coach starting in 2008, and elite we would be by now.

My God... you make up bullshit without thought! Too funny.

WVU was given a better seed than they deserved? Really?

WVU was disappointed to be given a 2 seed. They finished #2 in the Big 12's regular season... finished runner-up in the Big 12 Conference Tournament... in the RPI #1 basketball conference in all the land.

WVU finished the regular season as the #8 team in the AP and Coach's Polls. They had the #12 RPI, #13 SOS, #10 resume. ESPN's BPI had them at #7. All of those metrics solidly put WVU as a 2/3 seed. In the end, they were the #10 seeded team in the tournament, so they fell to the 3 line.

Even with all of that out of the way, what difference would it make if SFA was seeded poorly? Does that mean they were the favored team if they were mis-seeded and should have been an 11/12?

WVU... the #8 team in the country shouldn't beat a team seeded that far below them?

READ, BB. No one was shocked by the results. You cite popularity polls that are again, based on someone's opinion. 15 beats 2 fairly often, 14 beats 3 very often, 13 over 4 and 12 over 5 happen regularly, maybe seeding doesn't mean as much as you think, maybe the people who use name and league over quality of the team to do the seeding are wrong at times.

Man... are you being serious? So, you provide 4 links... only one which proposes a potential match-up to consider for an upset pick... and you believe this supports your argument? The other 3 predicted WVU to win and two of them to cover.

I cited human polls... but, I didn't stop there did I? What a piece of shit you are! I provided RPI, BPI and seeding rank.

WVU was a 7.5 pt favorite. You provided the links. Did you not read your own damn links? Are you saying the guys in the desert agree with this line of BS... 'maybe the seeding doesn't mean as much as you think?' WVU was favored to win the damn game. It matters not how many times a higher seed has upset a lower seed. It is a god damn upset you stupid shit!

    You're a fucking joke!

Just so we're clear... I'm going to use your same stupid logic against you... OK? WVU was a 6.5 pt favorite over KU in '13. Maybe KU wasn't as bad as you thought they were. I already showed you the Sagarin ranking between KU and WVU was more narrow than any basketball loss we've covered.

Hey, I got an idea that would please you greatly: Lyon's should fire Huggins, and sign Holgorsen to a lifetime contract paying him double whatever Alabama is paying that year, if a future AD fires Holgorsen, he is owed $100 million, if Holgorsen wants to bolt, he owes nothing.........each link I posted said the matchup was there for the upset, three felt WVU's bigger kids would get the job done even with the bad matchup, and they ALL said SFA was under seeded. I just love the constant name calling, you are such a great guy.

At least I'm not a lying piece of shit! Nor do I purposely make shit up just to troll.

Does the fact that anyone felt SFA was underseeded change the fact that Vegas had WVU as a solid 7.5 favorite?

Wow. I don't recall you mentioning this before. IF what you say is true, was SFA supposed to be seeded higher than WVU? Or should it have been a 8 vs 9? So what you're telling me is that the experts that have been this longer than you or I were really that far off in seeding. Interesting. So that is your excuse for the future HOF HC that we have to be bounced in the first round of the tournament and you're alright with that. Tragic.

You really believe that Manchin blew the deal. Maybe Manchin's timing wasn't the best, but if you really want to come back home, you would do it. Jimbo was going to be a HC at WVU, not a coach-in-waiting, similar to what Luck (all hail the king), was attempting to do with your boy, Stewart. IF Jimbo wanted to be a HC and come back home, he would have.
Let me refresh your memory, since you post on emotion, and for an engineer, do not take facts into consideration.

I thought the problem with getting Fisher was paying off his contract at FSU. The boosters who said they'd buy out his contract decided against doing so?

How did Manchin blow the deal? I guess I need reminded.

Jimbo would not be elite at WVU. You have to get elite recruiting classes in order to be elite. It wasn't going to get that done in Morgantown with the facilities and other obstacles we had. We're still way behind the curve because of fans like DAD who don't want to spend money to make money.

Thanks to DAD and those who think like him, WVU will never be elite... until they're all dead.

Maybe this will refresh your memory, bb. Manchin had to kick Eddie P in the ass to wake him up and get moving on this. Maybe Poppy is confusing Manchin with locking us up in Coal Bowl against the best college football program in the State.

God how I laughed my ass off at this thread! Let's get something straight about SFA--they were not that good of a basketball team. We played like a school bus full of "mentally challenged" kids. WVU lost because SFA had the best player on the floor and he schooled them like nobody's business.
MIN FG 3FG FT OFF DEF REB AST STL BLK TO PF PTS
    Walkup 37 6-15 2-3 19-20 4 5 9 4 4 1 2 3 33

We were not smart enough to adjust and make the other 4 bums beat us. Anymore questions? BB --when in the hell are you coming to DC and see me? You are gonna make me travel to Buffalo here in a couple of weeks aren't ya? I got a feeling that is where WVU is gonna be parked in the NCAA for the 1st 2 games anyway. At least that is what I am hearing out of Motown. Probably public knowledge too.

Man... if it is Buffalo... we got to be hanging brother!!

I'll be coming down to DC for the Hokie game. Gonna try to get Slaton's lame ass to finally go to a game. This may happen if his recently installed pussy ain't causing him problems.

You read his shit on here? I don't even know him anymore....
