The loss vs Iowa State comes down to 3 reasons in my mind: 1) shooting 2) man to man defense & Turnovers. We didn't get the ball in spots to score more easily and when we is---we bricked it. Our man to man was pathetic. Burton schooled Adrian badly and the other 3 guards were able to make open shots and drive the ball past their man. Maybe the biggest dagger was turning the fucking ball over. Ahmad should never put the ball on the floor in traffic ----5 turnovers is unacceptable and a big reason for this loss. Will be interesting to see if this team has enough gas in the tank to beat Bucknell and Notre Dame. BB you better be ready to roll again! Getting the mountaineers back in your hometown buddy!

This team lacks the inside go to guy. When the shooters get cold, we need someone in the paint to take up the slack. Esa was able to be an offensive force in some of our biggest wins. We need him to step up and play like he did against Kansas if we want to make it past 16. If Devin Williams would have stayed for his Senior year, I would be talking final 4.

I disagree with Slaton about the press. I don't think we could have won 26 games without the press. With our shooting, we need the extra possessions. We have no McDonalds All Americans on this team, but we beat teams who have them. It is not our talent, it is our press.

If we could only make open shots and layups, this team could go far.

That's been our biggest problem though, choking when we are expected to do well.
I expect a pretty good game. I think the spread right now is about 14

NOPE, no basketball loss EVER could compare to losing to Kansas in football, on ANY field, at ANY time. Kansas is a HORRIBLE football team, they hadn't beat anyone but IAST for several years in the league, and hadn't since until they managed to get Charlie Strong fired this past season!!!! Sagarin had Kansas rated 119 for 2013, behind 21 1AA teams......2012, they were 98, 2014, 115th, 2015, 156th!!!!!!! 2016, 125th.........SFA was ranked 51st by Sagarin last season. NO COMPARISON at all!!!!!! NEVER try and excuse that loss again, it makes you look less than honest and intelligent, more along the lines of something BB or mad would post!!!
