As for HoC, S1, I agree that it was good, but nothing OMG amazing. S2 is definitely an improvement and it is now one of the better shows on "TV", IMHO.

It is amazing how the concept of "TV" is changing right now. Will NBC/CBS/ABC/Fox/CW even exist in 10 years?

I think he's viewing it almost as an extended movie TBH. It's not like they have to televise every week and keep that schedule and keep ratings and all that. They're doing a season at a time, releasing them all at once, and many are watching the whole thing in 2-3 sittings.

I don't know if it is intended to be long running, though. I wouldn't be shocked if 3-4 is all that is intended.

Yeah, once you get the personification of evil to the presidency and others know what he's all about, I think there's only so much you can do with it then he has to be taken down or it risks getting ridiculous.

Spring for HBO. They have a slew of great shows. Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Deadwood, The Wire, Big Love, Six Feet Under.

Current ones include True Detective, Boardwalk empire, Game of Thrones.

It's well worth the price.

Yeah perfection is a bit strong, imo. My wife thinks it's the greatest and I enjoy the hell out of it. But Spacey's performance verges on camp at times. He's a blast to watch. But it's no The Shield or BB. It's a fun show. I'm hooked.

We rent Boardwalk Empire. I've seen every season except the latest. Love that show. GOT looked good the few episodes I caught of it when I had the trial HBO. I was always catching it out of sequence, though, so it was hard to follow. They want to give me 3 months free so I'll probably go for it.

Every detail is exact, you can see subtle manipulation from the start of the first season coming to fruition throughout the second season, Kevin spacey is the best character on TV. The show is brilliance capped off by a hell of a power couple to seal the deal.

Nothing comes close.
