I never watch a single game anymore either....

Started yesterday AM with 5 games recording but tanked 2 of them as they became routs. Recorded and watched in their entirety all 3 afternoon games.

I've refined my viewing now by putting a strip of green painters tape (1.5" wide) across the bottom of my TV screen. Keeps annoying score updates on the fucking ticker band from being seen......

No...my NFL viewing has not been changed by the protest...generally speaking, I'm watching less. What has changed for me...the primetime games. If PIT or ATL is playing I will typically watch the entire game..worse case DVR and catch the remainder in the morning. Aside from that...I'm not as dedicated anymore to watch games that end at 11p or later, some I may watch a Qtr or two, others.

LOL...I suppose huh.

I don't frequent the Pacific time zone that often, but Mountain (DEN area) at least once a year and every time...the days just seem so long...of course I'm still waking up 5a east coast time and going to bed 10-11p mountain time.

Go figure...right?

Flat out not true.

Politics entered the NFL the moment the military decided to use the NFL (as well as other sports) as a massive propaganda tool, and the NFL (and the owners) went along with it. That is when the politics came in.
Soooo how exactly did the military "use" the NFL as a propaganda tool? I am curious to hear this one

Two things:
1) Thinkprogress.org? What is that?
2) The NFL charged branches of the military to display flags and be present during the game. If anyone is to blame here its the NFL's greed which appears to be limitless.
website doesn't matter, it's everywhere.

The NFL got paid a lot of money by the military to promote jingoism, for whatever reason. Same for the Susan Komen and breast cancer.

but you asked how the NFL was being used as a propaganda tool, so I showed you how. It is a big advertisement.

Promote jingoism? LOL How long has the National Anthem been played at NFL games? If you recall, military favor was ramped up post 9/11 in the most recent wave. However, in the early 90's it was on full display during Operation Desert Storm.

It is interesting that you equate honoring the military with jingoism. What conquests has the US Military endeavored on that is classified as jingoism?

So what dark agenda is the Women Foundation being allowed to promote via the NFL?

If you cannot see that.... the way they did and do it is a downright page out of the basis propaganda manual that has been in use for about a century now.

the "dark agenda" with the Women Foundation is that the NFL wants to up their female viewership and sales of pink jerseys.

The NFL wants to make money? WOW
well compared to actually wanting to raise awareness for the cause, that is a dark agenda.

there are non-greedy reasons for supporting a cause.

Yup, every time I'm not watching that is a great thing to blame it on.

"I could be watching but fuck the ungrateful players."
