The SJW kneelers have brought politics into the NFL. Ignore it but it is NFL players using their job as a platform to push an agenda. the NFL is the only company I have seen other than MSM allow this to happen. Most companies would fire an employee if the did something similar.

Flat out not true.

Politics entered the NFL the moment the military decided to use the NFL (as well as other sports) as a massive propaganda tool, and the NFL (and the owners) went along with it. That is when the politics came in.

guys get hurt every year, dont think there is more injuries, even if so, its part of the game and always has been, next point?

Earlier this week was an article somewhere which looked at injuries.

Yes, injuries are part of the game, but IIRC according to that article is a definite uptick in them (especially the IR / PUP listings). The cause of that is up for debate, likely a combination of GMs/teams gaming the system, better diagnosis/more awareness and different registration. But also the real possibility that the injuries (and severety) of them has increased.

Additionally, the drop off between injured starters/stars and their replacements could well be much bigger.

heres the numbers

Year Players on IR, IR-DFR, PUP, NFI
2017 295
2016 277
2015 233
2014 263
2013 252
By my count, Watson and Luck make eight total “face of the franchise” players who have been lost to season-ending injuries this year. They join Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Browns left tackle Joe Thomas, Chiefs safety Eric Berry, Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and Cardinals running back David Johnson as headliner names who have not made it through a complete season. One could make an argument that Patriots wideout Julian Edelman merits consideration at that level, as does Eagles left tackle Jason Peters.

Orr: Watson’s ACL tear coincides with injury spike

Nah, but I find it hilarious when a whole team kneels or doesn't come out of the locker room and then loses lol.

As I stated, the total number of guys on IR, the PUP list, etc this year has already exceeded last years total with 295 and climbing, and there certainly is a trend with the exception of the 2015 year:

2016 - 277 players
2015 - 233 players
2014 - 263 players
2013 - 252 players

There were I believe, 24 ACL tears to players this year....BEFORE the regular season started. There have been several players in this era who have suffered multiple ACL tears - Frank Gore, Sam Bradford, Robert Griffin and Dominique Easley, Casey Hampton and Thomas Davis have had 3 each. From 2010 to 2013, there have been 219 ACL injuries, and it got worse with each year:

2010 - 46 players
2011 - 48 players
2012 - 60 players
2013 - 65 players

Again...it's painfully obvious that when you can count on one hand the amount of big time players in the entire decade of the 1980's who suffered an ACL injury, that right there is all you need to know. Were there other/lesser players who were dealt the same hand? Of course, but the thing is...for the majority of those players at that time, the injury was a career ender whereas today it's mostly a season-ender.

Fuck No my team is winning !

Look I don't go out and buy shit when these athlete's are doing ads so I'm not going to get all wrapped up in this whole "knee" disrespecting of the flag thing, I can't control it so why lose sleep over it.

I do how ever still make sure my sons stand and remove their hats, that shit I still have control over, ( even though they are getting bigger then me:L)

The increased diagnosis of ligament tears in pro athletes is due to the use of MRI for diagnosis.
MRI's were not generally available until the 90's.
Many knee ligament tears would be diagnosed as knee sprains without an MRI
On field medical personnel are getting much better at recognizing the injury calls for an MRI.....

In the old days, medical staff made an "educated guess" as to the condition of the knee ligaments.
Now they feel a lot of knees and can confirm a tear with an MRI.
