I agree. Washington on the other hand is a homerun hire imo. Great recruiter and he's an Ohio guy as well. I've heard great things about him. His father played for us back in the day.

Well it just came out that Bill Davis has been given his walking papers, so an announcement about Washington could be coming soon.

I'm focused on basketball season right now. Mattison is/was a good coach, I believe he will be an asset to the Bucknuts.

I think Mattison will be either a co-DC or some type of consultant? He's 69 so it's doubtful he will have some DC position. My guess is that maybe Washington is coming in and will fill that spot? Not sure, but I trust Day knowing what he's doing here.

Kind of odd hire especially after OSU rolled up 62 on UM and then Florida rolled up 41. Plus he's getting up there in age.

I thought Mattison was going to retire after his contract was up this year. But hey. Can’t blame him to want a DC position. But also, our defenses were only average under him when he was our DC under Hoke. He’s also 70. Sooo...

Still haven’t heard anything about Washington. This may even keep Washington at Michigan because we not have the ability to promote him.
