Up until this season the only coach who recruited his position was Gray. You can't put that on him. He was a bad coach but he had great relationships with coaches and players in the 757 and was good at the kitchen table with parents.

He got Bucky.

He got JC and Derwoun Greene in 2012 and only missed on the NCA package really.

He beat a lot if good teams for Dew, Acree and Nique in 2011. None panned out but they were tough recruiting fights.

He got Tyrod. He got Painter.

He was good at that aspect of the gig.

A lot of the alumni/season ticket holders don't even go to the Thursday night games. While for students they're the toughest ticket to come by, they're really not difficult to find on the secondary market

I don't get why LSU can play la-monroe at night, but a VT 7pm Saturday kickoff happens once every 6 years.
