I was told that we didn't retire Vicks number bc he didn't graduate. That's generally the consensus at most colleges it seems.

As far as I have heard, VT doesn't retire numbers. Looks at the greats that have played. Their numbers are still out there. I personally think they should only retire a number out of honoring a person who was lost kind of thing. Not for football performance.

We don't retire numbers anymore. We "retire" jerseys. Hence #7, #5, #25 being used like they are.

There are rumors about a player leaving the team (pretty late in the game) but it is not an impact player and I am not even sure that he is on scholarship. I don't want to throw a name out there until it is official from someone. I am uncomfortable doing that with players leaving.

It is not a big deal though.

Looks like its time to revive this thread as well, just for a new season.

Conte is at 285lb currently but is filling it out. 8 months of lifting and eating he should be close to a good playing weight. Thats the update I have there.
