Maybe we just wants new challenges and would like a change of scenery. I understand. I’m good at what I do but can’t stand to be somewhere longer than a couple of years. I lose interest after pretty quick once I hit my stride. There’s always some other company offering a butt load more money for me to leave my current job.

Has he officially said anything? I thought they were going to demand an answer today.

I'm hearing school attys are researching "cause."

If they can find "cause"...meaning harm to the program, we can move w/o having to give him
a buy-out. If, no one has been recruiting that would be cause.

He maybe trying to force us to fire him to keep from him (or AM) having to pay FSU the
7 mil he would owe us.

They'll find something, eventually.

I've read on another forum that the deal is done, it's 7.5 million for 10 years. Supposedly some law prevents Texas A&M from announcing a new hire for 10 business days after they fire a coach or some shit.

Supposedly the deal has been done for a long time. Which I guess would explain the lack of recruiting effort if that part is true.

No clue if it's true, just seemed plausible and A&M fans over there are pretty confident the deal is legit.

Also not sure if it's been posted(I skipped a few pages), but there is this:

Multiple planes linked to Texas A&M flying from Tallahassee to College Station Friday

No. Fisher calls the plays.

Which is exactly why all FSU fans should be thrilled this dude is leaving. Top 5 recruiter, but he has severely underachieved with the talent he gets year after year. He caught lightning in a bottle with Jameis, who saved his ass 29 games in a row.

Wow, the aggies are getting a big name coach while LSU, Tennessee and Florida had to settle. Aggies just showed the SEC they aren't fkn around.

Not sure that Florida settled. Dan Mullen is a great option.

I agree with this, but it's tough for a coach when his back up true freshman QB is garbage and he's loaded everywhere else. The kid has killed us this year.

I'm going with this.
Superior Talent masks a lot of things.
I never thought Jimbo was a great play caller.
Just look at this year.

Anyone who thinks this is a good loss for FSU and/or a bad pickup for A&M is lying to themselves.

I can't disagree with this... Gotta say though, I'll miss the top 5 recruiting, but yeah the play-calling has been maddening at times, as well as the blind loyalty to the D Coordinator who has clearly failed us this season, and Trickett, the O Line coach who year after year seems to have a line labeled by the pundits as "Great" that falls well short of expectations...

All that said, there is a bit of "Devil that you Know" here. I fear what we might bring in, because I'm not in love with any candidate out there really...

Honestly, I'd like to see David Cutcliffe perhaps. Be interesting to see what he could do at a major program.

Taggert is intriguing... Though I have to say, I was a bit taken aback by a report I heard that our AD would, "Like to hire a black head coach". Not at all because I have any issue with having a black head coach, mind you. But the fact that right out of the gate in our search we are going to limit ourselves and the potential pool of coaches based on race?

I don't think Sumlin is a bad coach, but it would just be a poor visual for FSU... May as well just say that Texas A&M is a better program and post it as a headline. They poach our coach and we hire the guy the fired? Not sure I can stomach that.

It would sure make for great theater though. A&M and FSU seasons would suddenly be compared down to the last detail over the next 4 years.
