That is what at least one professional secondary coach thinks. The one I talked to.

Is what it looked like. It's hard to tackle when your head is down and your eyes are closed.
Except that he made the previous tackle perfectly fine, and helped hold Diggs up to try and burn more clock. Unless he knew for 100% certain that he'd have another chance to "make up" for not missing the tackle earlier, this makes no sense.College.
Watch it from that perspective. Explains his actions perfectly.
prolly had his eyes closed tooI understand what he was trying to do. He just failed. He was trying to take Diggs legs out. Just whiffed.

The whole thing almost looks choreographed. Lob pass, both Crawly and Williams saw the ball in the air long before it got to Diggs. Crawley looked like he was expecting Williams to make the tackle and kind of dogged the play. Williams looked like he got spooked and wasn't sure how to approach that tackle. He wasn't even close to hitting Diggs.
Diggs makes an easy catch, turns up field and the rest is history.
He consulted his Madden secondary coach. You know him? Bruce DickinsonPee wee coach?
like the effin' Lindy hopBecause it was.
I was going to rebut his attempt at taking a jab at me, but...Just wanna confirm this for the thread...Did you take your meds today??
?? Don't know why you'd think that . Diggs is coming down as Williams launches. If he goes high he's got a great shot at getting flagged
There's no chance he had at hitting Diggs in the head. None whatsoever. Diggs' waist was shoulder-level when Williams whiffed on him.
Dude had a major brain fart. Diggs catching that pass should have sealed the game for the Saints. All Williams had to do was wrap him up and bring him down in bounds. Instead, he tried to low-bridge him, which could have allowed Diggs to slide down his back and land out-of-bounds, or could have broken up the pass, which would have given the Vikes one more shot at some kind of goofy trick play to score the TD. In his post-game interview, he mentioned he was worried about DPI, which means he wasn't thinking that letting Diggs make the catch and tackling him in-bounds was the correct play to make.
