FTs will decide who wins this game. Okafor needs to not be on the line... He can't shoot them... Must make this one here

Okafor needs to work on those FTs but he cleans up nearly everything.

and FTs lost it for Duke

Classy by ND players though telling fans to remain off court

Duke had a chance there to build on that lead about halfway through the second half. That was about the time ND started crashing the glass and got right back in it.

Helluva game really. Two of the best shooting it out tonight.

It was two top 10 teams and ND is ahead of Duke in the ACC, didn't make much sense to rush lol. Great game though.

Hats off to both Grant and Okafor. Both have to be considered for POY.

Duke missed a dozen easy snowbirds. When you're up 10 at 63-53 and don't go for the throat cost Duke tonight. I believe they thought the game was won way too early and quit attacking settling for jump shots and Okafor not finishing around the rim even though he had 22 points tonight. Notre Dame kept attacking the rim. Not making free throws is certainly part of the lopsided run by the Irish. Notre Dame deserved to win tonight.

You did see the students ready to storm court... They wanted to do it... but again Kudos to ND players... Not to mention their shooting... impressive!

Well the tallest players on our roster that play are 6-7. They have two 7 footers. Second straight year they're going to beat us by 20 plus after we beat them by 30+ 3 years ago.

What a game. Has to be up there for game of the year. ND was one of my potential FF teams in that other thread and this win will only help them with seeding. Definitely a solid 2 at this point and could play themselves onto the 1 line.

Haas is a fricken animal. Not sure what to make of Hammons. He seems lazy...good...but lazy.

I don't know what the deal is with okafor at the ft line. He was money in hs. I was at a game where he was 18 of 19 from the line

College there is much more pressure than in HS... Tonight the pressure appeared to have gotten to him. and it cost Duke big time.

I've been watching ND bball for years and it's the same ole stuff. They are a tough out in Great Bend.

Don't let this win run them to the top of your brackets.

That's been the downfall of Kentucky {and many other teams} for years....just trying to contain the other team....settling for jump shots......and just trying to hold on for the victory....

When you're up by any good margin...you need to put your foot on the throat {not the chest...heh heh...sorry about that douggie] of the other team...and keep on hammering them. You can always apologize later.

Yep Tango. It's called Freshman Youth. Teams with a whole bunch of talented Freshmen who haven't learned as a team what they are capable of doing and what they aren't. Duke is learning about winning by losing a game like this. They got away with that at St Johns, but Notre Dame is too good a shooting club and they came back to bite the Blue Devils in this game. Going forward, the Freshmen at Duke are similar to Kentucky in that they are loaded with talent, but Coach K is giving them plenty of rope so they can hang themselves now rather than in March. Calipari is a master at this. That's why UK has played several close games against inferior talent. The difference is they are still winning those games.
