[QUOTTE="Across The Field, post: 10969571, member: 9819"]I'll take Oklahoma's 52nd ranked scoring defense in a better conference for offensive talent any day. 6/13 of their opponents scored 20 or fewer points.[/QUOTE]
True...but I ain't giving the dirt burglers much credit on two of 'em. Two of those six were led by the human turnover that is know as Kenny Hill. TCU's offense wasn't too swift this year. My boy Sonny Cumbie didn't have his best year either.

Well we certainly can watch and see what happens. They look pretty solid

Yeah, they looked solid this year. They didn’t look like some super dominant team that should be expected to win the division six years in a row. How many power five divisions have been won six years in a row by the same team recently?

Why are you allowed to pick and choose when the efficiency metrics make sense and when they don't? Oregon sucked on defense. 76th in points against? Over half of their opponents scored 28 or more points, and only two opponents failed to hit 20.

Efficiency metrics mean more to me than points scored because it actually reflects how good the defense has been on a play by play basis. At any rate the defense for Oregon was better than it was in 2016, and that's with getting next to nothing from their offense for half the season because the starting QB was injured. And from an efficiency stand point was better than OU's last season. It's not like I'm making this up. There are two commonly used defensive efficiency metrics and Oregon rated out better than OU in both.

Right, but I've tried using them before to illustrate how one team is better at a certain thing than another and you've said I didn't know what they meant or how they were supposed to be used.

At any rate, Taggart isn't going 11-1 next year. I don't think Francois is making that big a difference. Even with him this year, they're 9-3 at best. It isn't like he was some phenom his first year. 58% completion percentage with 20:7 TD/INT ratio isn't lighting it on fire.

Like I said, I can see them going 11-1 or 10-2. Which would get them in a NY6 bowl. They actually have a tough schedule, at least on paper, so achieving that record would be quite impressive.

They do? I can't find where the ACC schedule has been released yet, and their OOC isn't difficult. I don't see ND being good next year with the OL losses along with Adams and St. Brown. Still, I think 9-3 is a much more realistic number.

They play Va. Tech and Miami out of the coastal, which is the hardest possible outcome. Their easiest game is Samford and they're rated better than 30 FBS teams, including some P5 teams. Obviously teams will be different but they play 8 teams that are currently in the top 35 of Massey. My guess is that's at or near the top.

Gross, you probably like pie over cake as well!

Nothing wrong with liking pie over cake. Apple, cherry, and pecan pie over cake any day. That excludes NY cheesecake though, as then I'd have to make a choice.

The 'potato salad' isn't what I'd consider potato salad, but actually looks pretty tasty.

Congrats to the TN fan trying to troll. Either that or you have some sort of turrets in the form of expressing interest in food. Good stuff.
