Yes before anyone jumps on me and states "put this on the Patriots Board" I just want to say I want everyone's opinion and not just Patriots fans.

So Gronk is a beast NO doubt but I am thinking (as was WEEI this afternoon) about Gronk and Brady.

Does Brady make gronk?
Gronk is just damn good no matter who he has at QB?

What say you

I say Gronk is just that damn good but certainly having Brady and the system he is in helps.

Edit: So my vote is "combination of both"

I can't vote, but I'd say its a combination.

Unless he ended up in Seattle, then they'd find a way to misuse him horribly and turn him into the next Zach Miller.

My vote goes with both. Brady is master of the short pass and Gronk is just too big so Its hard matching him up so TE as a whole flourish in the Pats system and Gronk is better then most. If it was another QB he would still probably be making it to Pro Bowls but there wouldn't talk about him being the best ever.

Yeah, very true. I do think if Rodgers had him as his TE there would still be this talk. Right now I think the best is still Tony Gonzalez but Gronk should surpass him

True but look at Graham for an example totally dominated when with Brees who is probably a HOF QB and now that he is in Seattle he is struggling a bit because Wilson is not on that level of Rodgers or Brees. I think it would be similar with Gronk.

It all starts with the QB.

Yeah that is a very good example of how a QB or a system can totally derail a players career..

Definitely a combo of both. He presents such a mismatch with his size that he has to get a lot of the credit. Being that big and agile, he is definitely in a great system that features him as a top tier receiver and utilizes his talents. With that though, the Qb is the one that pulls the trigger and decides.
