It's kind of coaching, you have to realize that the Raptors may not be guarding the inbound passer and you have to do something to make getting the ball in easier. Just complete the pass and the Nets win.

Honestly in that case you're better off taking a 5 second violation or at least pass it towards the nets basket instead of the Raptors. You cannot make a pass going towards the opponents basket in that situation
