That said, various teams have done it over the decades, so it wouldn't shock me if the Patriots had too.

If the Colts framed the Pats by deflating the ball before turning it over to the authorities, there doesn't have to have been any involvement by Harbaugh or Pasano. Grigson and Irsay would suffice.

Recall that we already know somebody on the Colts lied or else incorrect information was attributed to the Colts by some other means; the initial report was that Jackson had noticed the ball being deflated, and he later denied that.
