I love Chris Paul but giving him 200 million dollars seems like a pretty bad idea at this point in his career.

Getting Beverly and Williams and a pick next year gives them a pretty good haul for a FA.

What they do next is a different matter.

At least CP3 allowed the Clips to trade him. It was win-win for both parties if he really did want to leave. He could get traded to the Rockets without them having to dump massive salary and the Clips were at least able to get something back for him.

What this really means is that the Clips will max Blake. They should skip on resigning JJ and try to move DAJ for cap space. Then start over with Blake as the center piece of the team.

Rockets next move should not be PG13, imo...it should be Paul Millsap. He'd be a perfect fit for the D'Antoni offense and a major upgrade. If they could offer the Hawks a sign and trade including Ryan Anderson that would be ideal.
