I am not a fan of this playoff system at all. Need to move a different format. Either a 8 game playoff or 16 game playoff and please, stop all bowl games. Use the bowl sites for the playoff games, but forget the bowl season from here out. Good win for Bama, but this was not a surprise.

I cannot see Notre Dame falling out of the top 10.
They lost to the #1 team on a neutral field, and played about as well as could be expected despite the competition level.

But, that is about it from the teams below them that seem obvious.

The Irish should still be a top 10 team if not even higher.

Moving the ball is good, points are better. That is the difference though. Modern college football is being won more and more on high powered offenses. Sagan has adapted to that while keeping a good defense. You have to be able to keep up now.

The SEC is slowly turning into, what just a few years ago, they mocked the BIG XII for...

You can really tell how Notre Dame is improving as a program. In the 2013 national championship game Alabama went up 14-0 in 9 minutes and 46 seconds. This time it took Alabama 10 minutes and 41 seconds. that's almost a whole minute better
