Cam Newton isn't a good QB. But he's isn't just a QB. He's a roller coaster QB just like the Panthers are a roller coaster franchise. But to say Cam Newton sucks is a severely uneducated opinion. Cam Newton is a playmaker. He's a big RB. He's a QB. He is a top 10 QB in this league and there is no arguing that.
And he pimps it out like he means it!!

His best days as a runner are behind him, which doesn't bode well for the Panthers. Better hope he can develop some accuracy and mental cognition.
His best days as a runner are behind him?! You realize this was his best running year since probably 2012 right? Over 5 ypc, 8 TD, most rushing yards of his career. The more Cam rushes, the better the Panthers are. They tried to limit him last year and make him a throwing QB and look where that got them. 6-10 picking 8th in the draft.

His body has already taken a lot milage. He best running days are behind him. His durability is going to plummet if they keep running him like a RB.

If you give Cam decent weapons, I'd agree with you about his running, but only because he wouldn't have to run so much. But Cam's ability to run won't deteriorate. He will still have the ability to run as well as he did this year, but hopefully for the Panthers' sake, he won't have the necessity to run as much. There is NO WAY his best running days are behind him. If the Panthers need him to run, he will be able to.

this would be a good point on how Cam is part of the problem debate.
if he isnt good enough to beat the better teams with his arm, they will always fall short. he is good enough with his legs to keep his job. This is what we would call a coach killer. (they will never blame Cam)

So he's part of the problem because he's such a good running, mobile QB?

Cam is never gonna be and never has been the type of QB to throw 500-600 times a season. Just not gonna happen. He's a great runner, he's a 250 lb wrecking ball running downfield. There is no way the Panthers or any team for that matter wouldn't use that to their advantage. The stats show it, the more Cam runs, the better the season Carolina has. That is a part of Cam and if you take that away from him, you aren't using him to the best of his abilities.

no. Part of the problem because of him being a good mobile QB, it covers up his short comings. He is good enough to not be replaced (a GM would get fired for that) but not good enough to win it all. Which means the Panthers have to put a lot more of their cap into defense if they want to dream of winning a superbowl with Cam. Which they actually do. those kind of defenses are very rare though. You cant replace Cam, but you wont win a superbowl with him either. People will continue to get fired while he plays is all I am saying. Coaches, front office, they are all stuck between a rock & a hard place.

They tried to get him to take it easy, become more of a conventional QB, it didn't work. He didn't want to do it. He's not he same quarterback when he doesn't use his legs. And he actually tends to get more banged up in the pocket.

You can win a super bowl with Cam as long as you give him the help he needs like the help he had in 2015. Ted Ginn and Philly Brown brought that speed that noone on the roster can right now. Stewart and Olsen need to be replaces with younger/faster talent. Josh Norman is a big missing piece they haven't successfully replaces yet. This draft NEEDS to be good for the Panthers and they NEED to get some free agents. Make good offseason decisions and there shouldn't be any problems. Priority numero uno should be to get Cam some help.

Trying to get him to stop running was the dumbest thing they could've done and this year proved it. The more Cam runs, the better the team is. It's not a big secret.

For 5 years! He was their pro scout who actually trained Cam from 2011-2012 then got promoted in 2013 to QB coach.

If he isn't gay, then Elton John is straight as an arrow.

Because the first thing we should think of when it comes to a football player......is are they gay or straight?

Not going to argue how good/bad Cam is. Stats mean nothing if you can't keep your panties out of a tightwad. He needs the WR's to act this way and not him.
