Panthers have fired OC Mike Shula and QB coach Ken Dorsey. Here's a list of open positions at Bank Of America Stadium:

Owner
President
General Manager
Offensive Coordinator
Defensive Coordinator (95% sure of that)
QB Coach

Geez, what an offseason this is gonna be for the Panthers.

Cam isn't the problem. He doesn't have any decent help. It's hard being a QB when you don't have any WRs.
no, cams a huge part of the problem. hes not a good QB. hes a nice runner, but hes not a good thrower of a football. that a QB's job.

Cam is the nucleus of the Panthers. If he plays good, the team plays good, just like any other QB affects their team. The defense carries that team but when Cam is good, he's amazing. When he's bad, he looks like the worst there is. Without Cam, the Panthers are a bottom dwelling team in the NFC.

career 85 rating

one year over 90 in his 7 seasons, in this age of QB friendly play. 1 season out of 7 with 60% comp or more, in todays pass friendly nfl. 1 season over 4k yards out of his 7.

hes lead in passing stats twice. TD % one year, and YPC one year. thats...it.

cam newton sucks.

Cam Newton isn't a good QB. But he's isn't just a QB. He's a roller coaster QB just like the Panthers are a roller coaster franchise. But to say Cam Newton sucks is a severely uneducated opinion. Cam Newton is a playmaker. He's a big RB. He's a QB. He is a top 10 QB in this league and there is no arguing that.

So Tom Brady and his 89 career postseason QBR is the "Greatest Postseason QB Ever"

But Cam Newton and his career 85 QBR is a terrible QB

Things ya learn

Because the offense sucked worse.

Got them to a postseason, scored 26 on the road, and could have won it for them if not for a couple things on that last drive

hes not a top 10 QB in the NFL.he had a lower passer rating than jacoby freakin brissett or blake bortles. he was 24th in rating among starting QB's this year. there are 32 teams.

hes in the top 15 statistically, or was this past year...and its close to being out of that top 15 if you use aggregate data.

he WAS 2nd in INT's tho!

Panthers offense scored 0 points against the Bills and Bears and only mustered up 17 points against the Buccaneers. 28th in passing, 19th in total yards, their leading rusher was their QB, their leading WR only had 840 receiving yards. Their defense had 50 sacks, two players with 11, 7th in yards allowed, 11th in points allowed and 3rd against the run. I think I'd go with their defense instead of their offense.

They definitely need some weapons on offense

That Ohio State kid was starting to emerge when he got hurt

Yes...uneducated. Need more clarification?

Thanks for that. But they are useless as I've already told you he's not just a QB. When you evaluate Cam just by his QB stats, yeah, the dude sucks. But he's not just a QB. He's a mobile QB and probably the best mobile QB in the league right now. Take into account everything he does as a QB and add in the fact that he's also a 250 lb running back. Makes him more valuable. When I say top 10 QB, that takes into account his rushing capabilities as well. Can't just go by passing stats when evaluating Cam Newton.

Yeah he was. IDK if trading Benjamin midseason was the best move either. McCaffrey also underperformed for the first half of the season too. Maybe a change in OC will help that.

Benjamin kinda stinks, that move wouldn't have hurt if that Ohio State kid stood in the field imo

Mccafrey will be a 90 catch guy every season, don't know if he ever develops into an every down workhorse

yes i can go by passing stats. because get this...a QB's job is to throw first. this isnt the option at nebraska.

he broke a couple of steve grogans records. do you look at grogans numbers and say "he was not just a QB!"

no. he was a QB who once ran for 12 TD's in a season. he had 21 rushing TD's over 4 years. 1370 yards rushing. 5.9 per.

no one says "but he was more than a QB!" when they talk about grogan.
