Cardinals release Ted Ginn

This isn't a surprise. His KRs were terrible & he was basically the #5 wr behind Fitz, Floyd, Brown, & Brown.

Cutting him will result in $1.5 mil in dead money, but they save $2.5 mil towards the 2015 cap.

I imagine that Larsen, Carlson, Alexander, & maybe even Sendlein will also be cap casualties.

Great move. He was beyond horrible. They need to find a kick returner that takes a knee when he needs to. I'm surprised my TV survived the many times I wanted to punch it watching Ginn return a kick well short of the 20 yard line.

I looked up his PR numbers. He only returned 26 punts while fair catching 24 punts. That's terrible. I distinctly remember yelling at the tv many times this season when he fair caught a punt he should have been able to return for decent yardage.

Yep, he'd take a flier on lots of punts he should have run on and constantly run on kick-offs he should have kneeled down. Dude was terrible.

I am not surprised with Dockett being cut. Paying $6.5 mil for a 34 year old DL coming off an ACL injury is not wise. He never seemed like the type to want to take a pay cut. The door is still open for a return after he tests the waters to see what his value is. But I do think there are a few teams willing to overpay him.
