Exactly my point. I'd rather play a team with similar type failures than a team with great success. As I said though the relative youth of Dallas ( and Atlanta) may negate that. Ultimately I just don't think Dallas can slow down Atlantas offense like Seattle has the ability to do. That mean the Cowboys offensevwould need to score 35-40 points. Feasible? Sure, but I'd take my chances
I doubt you put 35 to 40 on us. Atlanta gives up over 4 ypc and Dallas would just pound you into the ground and control the time of possession.

Honestly we don't need the ball that much or for that long. That's not meant to be corky. Its just reality. Atlanta scores faster and makes bigger plays than any other team in the league BY A WIDE margin. The Falcons score almost half a point per play that they run. No other team in the league is even remotely close to that. It'd be a great game for sure

Current Dallas team doesn't have people with that failure on their minds. Atlanta does.

You are dealing with the biggest Falcon homer I've ever seen. You are wasting your time trying to reason.

I'm surprised he doesn't say Atlanta would just put 100 on us.

Yeah, Atlanta is really good. I bet they are the best team that still isn't even in the playoffs yet. :L

Probably. Couple close losses to some good teams but the D is coming around. Schedule was brutal the first 12 games but they made it through it. Last 2 will be tough as division games always are but ultimately we just need one of them

Yet you openly want to play the team that has the best record, when yours isn't even guaranteed in the playoffs yet. Close losses. Yeah I know those, we have two. Dak kept us from having a couple more. Maybe Matt should have done the same.

Dallas is a good team. It's just a better matchup for Atlanta. The Cowboys pass rush is pretty bad, the secondary is average. Great LBS but it's a better matchup than Seattle ( although Atlanta can win that game too ). Records are meat but schedules aren't balanced in the NFL so they aren't the end all. I'm not saying it'd be easy, it's a playoff game. I'm saying I like that match up more. I bet if you do a poll and ask Giants, Lions, Packers, Skins and Bucs fans they'd mostly all say they'd rather play at Dallas too. That shouldn't shock you

Chances are Dallas and Atlanta wouldn't meet until the championship game but that would be an intriguing matchup.

Giants, sure. Lions will get to find out. Pack or Bucs, doubt it. It comes down to what your weakness is. If you need your offense to win, you probably want Dallas. If you need your defense to win, you probably want SEA. SEA is more beatable than Dallas is right now, but make your choices based on previous seasons if you want.

Let's see if I can say this coherently.
I think the delta between our offense and theirs is less than the delta between their defense and ours. Visually...ATL Off > Dallas Off, Dallas Def >> ATL Def

This actually would be a good poll imo. Maybe I'll do it

As an unbiased party that seems fair to me.

Statistically speaking it's about the same. Falcons average 24 more ypg and 7.4 more ppg while Dallas is 25 ypg and 7.1 ppg better on D. Pretty much a wash. Like I said, it'd be a hell of a game. I hope to see it

Compare PPG, not yards. A full TD + XP more allowed is a big deal in the NFL.

I'd rather play ATL than Dal since Dal has a better overall defense.

Exactly. That's what I said. Atlanta scores 7.4 more ppg than Dallas. Dallas allows 7.1 ppg less. That's why I said statistically the difference is about nothing

Dallas......I don't even think it's all that debateable.

There's a dropoff after that, but it's not much. I'd put Atlanta, Green Bay and maybe the Giants all that the same level, with Dallas a step or two ahead.
