Packers have already beaten the odds by winning 6 straight with a pass happy offense, bound to stumble, maybe one and done IMO.
The Seahawks will be one and done.

Yeah I honestly think that the Giants are a terrible match-up for GB right now. After Atlanta the Giants probably have the best group of wide outs in the NFC. Going to be tough for the Packer secondary. They're going to need some serious playmaking from Rodgers
The Packers secondary is in shambles because of injuries.

Atlantas horrendous defense gives up 8 yards and 1 point more per game than Green Bay. In the last 6 the numbers are roughly the same. If Atlanta has a horrendous defense so does GB, difference is one of the 2 teams has a historical great offense and the other is the Packers..... lol
Green Bay ranks #22 in defense and Atlanta ranks #25.

Packers have faced the more difficult SOS while majority of the ppg given up on their defense is in garbage time after building the significant lead. When GB builds the big lead they shut it down on offense and go into the zone/soft coverage on defense to not give up the big play. By doing this they let a team drive right down the field and score points.

Lets compare the offenses for the last seven games and see how your historical falcons compared.

Pack
Teams pts scored ppg allowed
skins 24 23.9
Eagles 27 20.7
Texans 21 20.5
Hawks 38 18.3
Bears 30 24.9
Vikes 38 19.2
Lions 31 22.4

Avg 29.9 21.4

8.5 difference
ATL

Phil 24 20.7
Cards 38 22.6
Chiefs 29 19.4
Rams 42 24.6
49ers 41 30
Panthers 33 25.1
Saints 38 28.4

avg 35 24.4

10.6 difference

So your "historical great" birdies have scored 2 ppg (a safety) more than the pack in the last seven games despite having more dome games and playing four straight games vs teams mathematically out of the postseason while the Packers played in severe weather games and faced 6/7 games vs teams fighting for the postseason.

Seattle and Green Bay are about to run out of steam. Both will be out of playoffs after this weekend.

Green Bay ranks #22 in defense and Atlanta ranks #25.

12.3 ppg allowed by GB over last six games (minus the 1.5 quarters of garbage time points at the end of the last three games when GB was up by 3+ scores and switched to zone/soft coverage.

If anything the defense is coming into the postseason as one of the best in the NFL. They have an elite front 7, two pro bowl caliber safeties and a shutdown CB in Gunter who has shutdown OBJ, Julio Jones, and Dez Bryant to their worst games of the year.

They are in for Murder's row at wr. ODB than Dez than Julio. If they can make it past that with their patchwork secondary I would be shocked. Julio might put up 200 again.

In the game that the Falcons and Packers played in week 8 Jones was the #4 receiver with 3 catches and 29 yards and no TDs with the top 3 corners injured Shields, Randal, and Rollins who were out. The corners playing were Goodson, Brice, and Gunter and Hyde playing the #4,5,and 6 corners. Capers must have figures some strategy to limit Jones with all back up corners playing. The Falcons great offense had to come from behind at home getting a TD with 3 min left in the game to win by 1 point

Let's not get crazy now. Gunter has been a nice surprise, but I would not call him a "shutdown corner". I think it is more likely that teams see we have NO ONE playing the other side and don't bother throwing toward the one good corner we have out there.

At times he's been a shutdown corner then at times he's looked like a undrafted FA in his first season starting. But he has been a pleasant surprise and has improved each game. I heard we have a just activated another UFA from Miami that switched from WR to CB this year. That sounds like the Sam Shields story. I wonder if he will play if R&R are both out.

Don't forget that OBJ was shutdown for the 4 catches 48 yards and no TD's until the final play in garbage time when GB was up 23-9 with 2 minutes left. He caught an 8 yard TD pass at the two minute mark and it wasn't even a legit TD since his left foot was out of bounds. It was a broken play as well which the DB played off him but the refs gave it to them. Sheli had a 21 QBR.
