Joe Montana?

Regular season: Peyton Manning blows the man out of the water. He has more TDs than Joe Montana. And Steve Young. Put together.

"Yeah, but the playoffs! Peyton's not as good in the playoffs!!!"

In the playoffs:

Montana (with the greatest receiver of all time)
63% Comp.
5772 Yds

Manning (with receivers like Joe Dean Davenport)
65% Comp.
6589 Yds.

"But, but, but..."

The excuses and desperation just get sillier and sillier. So many NFL fans are so fucking delusional they'll NEVER admit the truth no matter what else Peyton Manning accomplishes or what other all-time record he smashes.

Is this supposed to be an actual, legit response?

My favorite QB of all time is Roger Staubach. I also enjoyed watching Dan Fouts. Bradshaw to Swann & Stallworth was annoying, because I've never been a Steelers fan. I've never felt Bradshaw got enough credit. Probably never will. Marino to Duper & Clayton was unreal. Aikman was as accurate as anybody.

I've never been a fan of the 49ers. I couldn't stand Joe Montana, but he was the best I've seen. He did have some help though. Every QB does.

If we are talking about QB's seen in person, ah hell it wouldn't matter either way...

Joe Montana and no one else is close.

Watching Joe and Jerry play together was something pretty special.

FUCK SB QBs..it's one game.

Best I ever saw that consistently "stretched" the Ds out...Daryle Lamonica "The Mad Bomber"

Al Davis spent his entire remaining life looking for his replacement...Stabler, Plunkett were no match.

Peyton. I love him now, but he wrecked the Broncos a few times in the playoffs. I use to despise how surgical he was when we'd play him. So frustrating. Of course now it's all good.

Peyton Manning....no contest. The Patriots won their SB with their team. Brady did not win them alone,

Manning is the best to ever stand behind center.

Not a fan, but I would have to say Brady. The Patriots could have absolutely no talent on the offensive side of the ball (in which they have had a few times) and they are still a threat because of Brady.

Manning - Great, but always had talent around him.
Montana - Great, but had all stars at every position with the Niners. Still played great with the Chiefs though.
Rogers - Awesome, but I need a little more time to see what happens.
Marino - Great QB, but you need to win more
Elway - I always thought he was great, but just not premier.

Brett Favre was certainly not overrated.

I'd take Peyton over Montana who is the earliest great quarterback I've witnessed.

Montana led his team to four Super Bowl wins.

Peyton is 1-2 in Super Bowls and looked terrible against Seattle.

They had drastically different teams supporting them. Judging quarterbacks by wins is kind of stupid.

So you judge QB's by personal stats and not Super Bowl wins?
