If they go to a crappy bowl make it Vegas. At least there's stuff to do there to get your mind off the fact you're in a crappy bowl.

Exactly -- that is why I punished Michigan by saying they get stuck in the Idaho Potato Bowl. You play like crap, you don't deserve a nice location for your bowl.

If they really want to punish UM if they tank this year -- stick them in the Motor City Bowl in Detroit and make the players ride their bikes to the game.

Best case - 12-0, B1G Champs, Bowl Berth

CJ Beathard returns to lead Iowa's offense but this year he is actually healthy and against another easy schedule (avoids Ohio State and Michigan State). The Jim Thorpe Award winner Desmond King is back to lead a stout defense as well.

Worst case - 5-7 not making bowl game

Iowa just came off their most successful season of all time. They return many of their players. Their schedule looks easy. So, they lose their chip on their shoulder. They start off getting upset by Iowa State at home and then getting upset by North Dakota State. They then lose to Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Nebraska from the West and lose to Michigan and Penn State.

Best Case: We make another National Championship appearance. And win it.
Worst case: We lose 2 or 3.
EDIT: Worst case: Watson goes down and with him our season. We have nothing close to come in behind him.

Best Case: 13-1 National Champions
Worst Case: 9-4 (Baker Mayfield goes down and the defense forgets to get off the bus a couple of times.)
Likely: 12-2

I hope TK tears it up for you and you guys shock the world and I can be like, yup.

I think he will do well. I think the team will be average though. 7-5 or 8-4

At least you know you'll kick all our asses when Basketball season rolls around though. I like yall's coach actually. He's a hell of a recruiter. But it'll probably take some time with that gig.

Maybe OP should rephrase thread, "worst case scenario for your team", rather than add best case scenario. Everybody is picking their team to go undefeated and win a natty as their best case scenario, which makes sense. Except for the lone KU fan, glad he didn't go full homer and predict an undefeated season and natty for the Jayhawks....

Eh, I really don't see it. It's as depleted a roster you can really find in a major conference right now. I wouldn't expect anything even kind of significant until 2017, if that.

KU can at least win their OOC games, right? Mangino, come back to Lawrence!!!!

But I mean Kansas should have something of a chance against FCS team, Ohio and Iowa State I would think. or maybe throw in an upset somewhere.

Do you really think Iowa could get by OSU in the CCG?

Nope- Rhode Island is their only chance. They got anihilated by South Dakota State last year, and I am not at all convinced they'll be up to speed for actual D-1 talent. For all of the talk of how much the team disliked Mangino- he really was a pretty good coach. Kind of wish KU had a sugar daddy like say the Koch brothers, but they seem to be more into politics and Wichita State. Going to take quite some time to get out of the mess Gill, Weis, etc, made.

Turner Gill was an awful hire. Still don't understand that one. He had one winning season at Buffalo, going 8-6. I know it's Buffalo and having a winning season there is very rare, but you don't go full retard and hire away the coach at Buffalo just b/c he went 8-6, then followed up that year with a 5-7 season.
