Best Case: 13-0(9-0), SEC Champions and Playoff Berth

Josh Dobbs improves his accuracy issues and forces defenses to respect our passing game allowing the run game to open more. Hurd and Kamara have great seasons, the WR corps shows significant improvement. The defense a Top 10 defense in the country, Derek Barnett breaks the all time UT sack record and becomes a contender for the #1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. The secondary improves and doesn't give up many big pass plays. Tennessee goes undefeated en route to a Playoff berth.

Worse Case: 7-5(4-4) Losses to: Virginia Tech, Florida, Georgia, Texas A&M and Alabama

Vols are plagued by injuries, Dobbs takes an enormous step back. Jalen Hurd can't get going. WR corps struggles, D-Line depth becomes an issue. Players struggle to adapt to Shoop's new defense. Vols lose all the important games and fans are left calling for Butch Jones head.

Best case scenario: 14-0, Big 12 and National champions.

Lots of starters returning including a loaded backfield. Much will rely on Bakers health and who steps up at receiver after Sterlings departure to the draft. Westbrook, Andrews, and others will have to step up but Riley has said we already look light years better with this offense as to where they where last year. Had 3 new starters on the O-line last year including a freshman and true freshman at the tackle spots, so i imagine they take another step with their progression as well. Mixon and optimus Perine both get close to 1000 (Perine way more) yards in a balanced offense as we get much more physical at the point of attack.

On defense, whether it's Kelly, Deberry, or Obo, they will probably be already better suited against the run than Striker given his size although obviously we will miss his relentless pass rush. The only other question is who replaces Sanchez at the corner spot alongside Jordan Thomas. Austin is good in coverage but is definitely on the small side. P.J. Mbanasor has the size and strength but struggled a little out there as a freshman.

Worst case: losses to Houston, Ohio State, TCU, Texas, and the Sheep humpers.

Baker Mayfield gets hurt in an freak dance off injury when his manhood gets challenged in a club a day before the opener. True freshman comes in, plays decent a few series but then he gets attacked by a animal on the sidelines severely injuring his hand after a Houston fan thought it would be a funny idea to bring a live Cougar to the game. The entire Oline gets Lupus, WR core all go to a fireworks show with JPP, 3 Linebackers start spending way too much free time with Sark in bars, and the the entire starting secondary get lured into Harbaugh's van after the promise of candy and are never heard of again.

We still beat Kansas by 44 though............

Best case: 15-0 SEC/National Champs

Starting QB adapts early and plays to potential, defense plays as well as usual, become the first 15-0 team in history.

Worst case: 10-3, win Capital One Bowl

Losses to Tennessee, LSU, and Ole Miss. QB play is average, O-line is average, defense gets burnt out because offense can't run the ball. Also, injuries.

North Carolina

Best case scenario: 15-0, ACC/National Champs

A miracle, but Trabinsky turns out to be the QB we've been hoping for since TJ Yates, the offense dominates and the defense takes that one extra step further to become good enough to contain more talented teams. Marquise Williams was amazing at times, but others he was like a poor man's Chris Simms. Especially vs. the South Carolina teams, and Baylor. If Trabinsky can be a game manager and make a few great plays here and there, it is possible with some luck to run the table. Not likely, but possible.

Worst case scenario: 8-5, lose some crap bowl

Losses to FSU, Miami, VT, and Georgia in the regular season. Trabinsky ends up not being anything more than another overrated QB and the defense doesn't figure out how to stop the run.

Best case:

12-0 and a playoff berth. Rudolph exceeds expectations. The OL gels and our running game gets back to normal. Defensively, the front seven is solid if we stay healthy. I'm concerned about our secondary but we return three starters there and have a couple of transfers to provide depth. Special teams will be a strength. Our kicker is a four year starter who has been inconsistent at times but clutch when it counts, and our punter could be an AA before is career is done. We have too many big games on the road for it to be realistic, but it could happen.

Worst case: Rudolph gets hurt early, the OL looks just like last year, the corners suck and we go 5-7. Pitt, Baylor, Texas, WVU, Tech, TCU, and OU are all games we could lose. Aside from TCU, OU, and maybe Texas if they get it together I don't see it, but if I'm saying we can go undefeated on the high side we can drop enough to miss a bowl game.

Ultimate worst case: We are sitting at 11-0 or 10-1 heading into Bedlam against a 7-4 OU team that just had it's teeth kicked in by WVU. We have a playoff and/or NYD berth on the line. They have no hope yet pull a repeat of 2013 because fuck us they do that.

Best case: 15-0, another NC. Team has a lot of 2014 sort of uncertainty with a lot of underclassmen studs ready for their time to shine. We upgraded our DC, and we have a clear cut leader at QB, unlike last year. While not likely, it's certainly possible.

Worst case: 9-3, losses to Oklahoma, Michigan State, and the weasels. While possible, I find far more unlikely than the above scenario.

Bottom completely falls out Millen Kielbasa: 6-6, losses to Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Penn State, Nebraska, Michigan State, and the weasels. Hernandez rises from the grave to kill Meyer, Joe Bauserman brought in as replacement HC.
