Best case- Look decent against Alabama even in a loss. Beat Stanford , Oregon and Washington and get back to conference championship game with a Rose Bowl birth or playoff birth.Oh and the head coach doesn't become a laughingstock.

Worst- take a pounding against Bama , lose two of those three marquise conference games and go to some bowl no one ever heard about or wants to attend. The coach becomes a laughingstock.

Best case -- undefeated and a spot in the playoff

Realistically -- I think they lose at least one of the three road games against MSU, OSU and Iowa. If it is only one -- a BCS Bowl

Worst case scenario -- Our QB is terrible, we lose all 3 big road games and end up at the Idaho Potato Bowl playing on a blue field. (Don't know the name of the bowl in Boise, but I think there is one)

Best case: 9-3

Worst case: another losing season and the front page headline of the Statesman the following day after the last game of the season reads, "Longhorns welcome new head coach Tom Herman to the 40 Acres".....

Best case: The coaching staff works as well together as it seems like they could, the young guys grow up quickly. Keep it close against 'Bama and end up in the PAC-12CCG with a Rose Bowl or playoff birth on the line.

Worst case: Coaching staff doesn't work well, the youngsters don't grow up/develop and we end up in the Las Vegas Bowl or something.

Best case scenario: 14-0, Big 12 and National champions.

Lots of starters returning including a loaded backfield. Much will rely on Bakers health and who steps up at receiver after Sterlings departure to the draft. Westbrook, Andrews, and others will have to step up but Riley has said we already look light years better with this offense as to where they where last year. Had 3 new starters on the O-line last year including a freshman and true freshman at the tackle spots, so i imagine they take another step with their progression as well. Mixon and optimus Perine both get close to 1000 (Perine way more) yards in a balanced offense as we get much more physical at the point of attack.

On defense, whether it's Kelly, Deberry, or Obo, they will probably be already better suited against the run than Striker given his size although obviously we will miss his relentless pass rush. The only other question is who replaces Sanchez at the corner spot alongside Jordan Thomas. Austin is good in coverage but is definitely on the small side. P.J. Mbanasor has the size and strength but struggled a little out there as a freshman.

I project Jordan Thomas has a break out year. Jim Thorpe finalist. He had his miscues last year but that kid show'd some big time Sunday play making ability.

Best Case Scenario is no one stands in our way in the BIG XII and we cruise to a 9-0 record.

Our OOC is solid with a neutral match up with last years Peach Bowl winner and a home vs Ohio State.

That would surely place us in the playoff.

Worst case is we tank and don't win the conference and don't make the playoff. That will not be acceptable.

If they go to a crappy bowl make it Vegas. At least there's stuff to do there to get your mind off the fact you're in a crappy bowl.

LSU- best case they lose one regular season game, still manage to get into the SEC Title game with a chance to get into the playoffs. Worst Case: LSU comes out flat in the opener against Wisky like the last time, they lose to Florida on the road, lost 3 in a row to Bama/Ole Miss/Arky and Miles is looking for a new job after playing in the Independence Bowl.

10-11 wins including Ws against Oregon, Stanford, or both. Win PAC12 champ game. Go to Rose bowl. Petersen pulls Harbaughs Walmart khakis down on national tv with a 20+ point win and triggers a couple of these during trick plays.

Worst. Losses including Stanford, Oregon, USC, and Apple Cup. 7-5 and another year of only living in the PAC mid tier.
