Jeremy Hill doesn't fit a modern NFL offense. He's an old school plodding RB that may have thrived 15 years ago. Nobody uses a lead blocker consistently anymore. A RB has to be able to run from a shotgun, single back set. Big bowling ball RBs with poor vision are a dime a dozen IMO. Notice how the Patriots have let LaGarrette Blount walk in FA twice in 4 years.

Joe Mixon is the definition of a modern, every down back. He's big, fast, elusive, has WR hands out of the backfield, and has terrific field vision and instincts. He has the same skill set as a David Johnson or LeVeon Bell IMO. He's the only guy who can flourish as a runner in this current system. The only thing that will hold him back is Marvin and Zampese.

Hewitt's snaps have definitely gone down since Hill's rookie year..... Though, they only went marginally down between his rookie and 2nd seasons. Last year, under Zamp, they went way down.

There isn't a single reason that Mixon and Bernard shouldn't get 90 percent or more of the carries.
