The Denver game went much better than the Raider game.

Lance looked better the more he played, but his early series were rough. He made the easy plays look hard again. Threw an INT on a screen pass, was hesitant to pull the trigger at times, etc. He got better, seemingly more confident, as the game wore on though and bounced back to have a pretty solid say overall. Even leading the game winning drive at the end. He ended up being one of the highest rated Offensive players, although imo he was very up and down.

Guys that looked good:
The starters got a few series in this one and the team looked better overall.
Purdy got his first game action of the year and he looked good. He was 4 of 5 for 65 yards. He moved well in the pocket, improvised and even scrambled around a bit.
Deebo had himself a nice game, catching 2 balls for 39yds. And he looked explosive after the catch. He's clearly in better shape this season.
The starting Oline played for Purdy and a stuck around for a couple of drives of Darnold, who was one of the Niners highest-rated offensive players in this one. Looks like Darnold is getting set to be the #2 Qb.
Ronnie Bell had another good game. He caught 7 passes for 114yds and plenty of run of the catch. Sadly, just like last week, he let a catchable ball go right through his hands for an INT. He also had a fumble. Can't do that and it's a bad trend for Bell, who otherwise looks promising.
Womack looked good out there too at CB. He is making strides in his 2nd season.
Both rookie LBs looked good out there. Winters and Graham both. Looks like We've got an embarrassment of riches at LB and we're almost certainly going to have to cut one or both of them and try to sneak them onto the PS.
Q.Knight played 14 snaps at FS and he ended up being one of the team's highest rated defenders from the game. The coaches have been high on this guy's potential.
Latu got a lot of play in the 2nd half and he ended up with 3 catches for 46 and a TD. Blocking wasn't bad either. Good bounce back game for him.
Moody hit all 3 FG tries this week.
CB AJ Parker played surprisingly well. I kept having to look at a roster to find out who that guy was.

Guys that didn't look good:
Ambry Thomas got a lot of run this week. He was one of the Niners lowest rated defenders though. He came into the game and played outside on nickel downs and Demo was moved to teh slot.
Myles Hartsfield got out there and stunk. He missed tackles, overran plays, and took poor angles. He's got versatility (CB, LB, ST) and he played under Wilks in Carolina, but he had a terrible day.
D.Jamison muffed a punt that we lost. It's too bad since he had a good game last week against Vegas.
L.Watson struggled badly at OT most of the night. The guy has lots of potential, but he's nowhere near ready to play in an actual game.
I thought Jake Brendel struggled as well in the middle of the Oline.

Injuries:
We left the game with some injuries. WR D.Gray hurt his shoulder and will miss several weeks. He'll be out until well into the season it looks like.
Kerry Hyder got a shoulder stinger.
RB McNichols left the game with a hammy.
Gray being out is bad news for us b/c We're looking a little thin at WR with Ray Ray already out too.

Already seeing reports that the Niner starters will be seeing action in the preseason finale against the Chargers.

Yep, it appears Purdy and the offense is 'rounding into form', they'll have to score near and above 30 points. Get those TD's and don't depend on the PK.

I agree with Larry Krueger, the run defense is glaring issue right now. Prior to this game he was harping on DE but today he had to switch to run defense. We're vulnerable to injuries on the O-line where its also an issue, but not as big as run defense. I believe we'll still have a good defense but not as GOOD as we thought. Unfortunately, Kinlaw hasn't shown enough run stopping and Kalia Davis is hurt. Doesn't appear we have that interior guy who can hold the double team? I think we all had confidence Kalia Davis would be a force ala DJ Jones, but such is the NFL.

So far so good on the injury front, yes there are injuries but none 'season ending', and none to key starters. Injuries will continue to happen but so far so good.
