A win today and we are back in the thick of it. I fully anticipate a loss by two TDs.

In unrelated news, Carson Palmer broke his arm today.

I would have bet 100 bucks that they were going to run it on 4th down. Color me impressed.

Also, it seems like Dalton is morphing into an iron man. Two games in a row he comes up hobbling and just keeps on going.

I wish Burfict, Shawn Williams, et al would shut up and play. Once again the Steelers are getting into their heads.

Do you think Andy just enjoys being the Steelers bitch, or what?

After drafting 18 CB's in the first round, seems we got a keeper in WJIII

The Bengals have to be the worst second half team in the league.

So we just need a new Center and two OT's. No big whoop.

I have never seen the ending of a Bengals-Steelers game be so cordial. It was surreal.

The fact that Marvin Lewis continues to be employed as a head coach in the NFL is an insult to sport, the profession, and the handful of hopeless suckers who still support this flaming dumpster of an organization.

I hear ya.

Dalton throwing the ball away on 4th down in a do or die situation? I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Some general observations after wasting 3.5 hours of my life yesterday.

1) It's pretty amazing that Paul Alexander doesn't get more heat from the media. I get that he had a pretty good run of tackles. Big Willie, Levi Jones (for a few years anyway), Whitworth, and Andre Smith. Though, I would counter that all of those guys were first or second rounders, and some of them did a better job of living up to potential than others..... But, isn't his recent track record deplorable? The current line is an insult to the profession.

2) The Bengals defense would be a servicable unit on a team that could actually possess the ball. They are exposed by teams with multiple offensive options - A team like the Steelers. Fortunately, you don't play those teams more than 3 or 4 times a season in the modern, crappy NFL. Yesterday was a day where they were basically exposed. That said, they did stand up to the Steelers a bit in the second half and they did limit damage. In general, if you hold a team to field goals, you will eventually make that team pay. Well maybe..... If you have an offense. Pretty big qualifier there.

3) I've come to support Dalton a lot over the past couple of years. Not sure what to make of him right now. It's obvious he's not superman and can't put a team on his back and lead them to victory. But we already knew that about the guy. I'm not even sure how to judge his performance when playing on this limp-dick offense.

4) The fact that Mixon didn't get a single carry in the second half and AJ didn't get a single catch is hillarious. Only the Bengals would be this incompetent.

5) One step closer to the end of Marvin Lewis.

.

Did you happen to catch Mixon’s comments about his lack of carries? The kid hasn’t been here half a season yet and already realizes how useless the coaches are. This just a few weeks after the normally silent AJ Green spoke out about the piss poor play calling.

When asked about it in postgame, Uncle Marv was just as charismatic as always... the man has the personality of a potato.

Good ole' Marv said we "are better" when AJ isn't involved. I'm not kidding - Read the postgame quotes on Hobs' Bengals.com. Is it possible that Marvin is getting worse at coaching? How can this happen? Did he play long enough to get CTE?

CBS was wetting themselves at halftime..... Showing highlights of Bell vs. Mixon. It was fun to watch - One young guy trying to match plays with one of the best in the game. Then Marvin got involved.

It was nice to see the artist formerly known as Jeremy Hill.

With the exception of Jeff Blake (sorry Kramer if you are reading this), has there ever been a Bengal that went from fan favorite to bum so quickly?

There has to be an unspoken reason that the Bengals trot Hill out there for the first drive of every half. Surely an NFL coaching staff wouldn’t willing waste 2 drives per game, every game. Clearly, Jeremy has pee pee pics of Marvin or something.
