No, I agree with your opinion about how Talking Heads music grows on one with repeated listens. That's the way it was for me with them when they were new. They came out of the NY club/underground scene and I liked a lot of those acts. But they really weren't like anyone else and it took me a couple of listens to really start appreciating them.

The band that performed this masterpiece was probably the greatest assembled "group" in known history.

Inca Roads, Sofa #'s 1, & 2, Pojama People, & San Ber'dino are the shit!!!

ftr: the Mothers (through various lineups) have been around since the mid 60's though.

Well yeah but the iteration on that album was brand new. :)

One Size Fits All is my second favorite album of all time from any artist in any genre. (Steely Dan's Aja is #1)
Inca Roads is my most favorite song of all time from any artist in any genre.

Andy is another awesome song.

It's close.
One could make a case for Queen, and I would probably end up agreeing with them.
But one can also not deny the genius of David Byrne.

I like making threads in the style of @outofyourmind.

Uh, No. Aerosmith was better. So was Heart (at least up until "Dog & Butterfly). Maybe, Queen, but I'm not sure if they got together in the late 1960s or early 1970s.
