Can we all agree that Jeff Fisher was the luckiest guy ever to have kept getting paid in the NFL?

Total bum of a coach whose teams only ever did anything in spite of him. Just two seasons after he finally got the boot from the Rams, McVay got them to 11-5 with a division title and playoff appearance in 2017, and now looking like a Madden video game team in 2018. Yes the team has matured and added some weapons in that time, but there was no excuse for Fisher to suck as badly with that team as to end up at 4-9 before he finally got canned in 2016.

Not to mention the plethora of similar incidences throughout his head coaching career. He might have been a decent coach at one time, but the game passed him by back in the 90's. Yet he got paid to be an NFL head coach for 22 seasons. Sam Bradford holds a close 2nd place for fooling as many teams into giving him pay days despite all of the evidence advising against it, though.

Fisher and Bradford yes

Fisher did draft Aaron Donald and Todd Gurley... however it was more of “fell to” them in the draft

Yeah. I just can't see that team as a whole doing anywhere near this well under Fisher. If he had taken the team back over at the start of this past off-season - with everything else staying exactly the same - I think that ridiculously stacked roster would drag him to a 7-9 record, maybe 9-7 at best, instead of looking like clear-cut Superbowl contenders.

Sam Bradford is the perfect quarterback for Jeff Fisher, mediocrity at its finest.

Yeah he was holding back the Rams no doubt, but he did contribute to stacking the roster over time, so he did put together a group of talent, he just wasn't making good coaching decisions...

True, but outside Watkins it's not like they had a different team. McVay has brought creativity. I still say stick Goff on most teams and he is Alex Smith with a stronger arm.

Fisher was a terrible coach and somehow having McNair and Eddie George gave him enough equity to get another job after he burned down the Titans.

He was perfect for Stan Kroenke's plan of breeding a sense of apathy in STL making the move easier to sell.

Yeah, that Super Bowl run with the Titans gave him job security for a while, for sure...

Jeff Fisher is trash. It would piss me off to no end that he'd go multiple years of losing records and just when it looked like the Titans were finally ready to move on, he'd pull a 12-4 season out of his ass to save his job. Then he'd immediately go 7-9 followed by 6-10

Fisher is at least a decent defensive mind, imo. He was twice the coach that Steve Spagnuolo was but was also very overrated.

I wouldn't want him anywhere near any offense but I also wouldn't put him in the same sentence as Sam Bradford. Fisher is just someone who should've stayed a DC somewhere.

Some people blame it on his funky moustache. It controlled him.
