Let's see if we can get a group here going like we did on CBS, of folks who need fantasy info, and us guru type who ae ready, willing, and able to help them.

The only thing I/we ask is; when posing a fantasy question, please make sure you include ALL the relevant info, like your league type, your team as it stands now, and what is behind the question you are asking. The more and better this info is, the better answer you will get in return.

That said, remember, this is just people helping other people, meaning, this advice is free, and the best we can give, but, YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR!

HammerDown is always open to new ideas. Go here Site Announcements, Help & Suggestions
and ask about it. A fantasy forum would be nice. We currently have one for football but it gets forgotten quite a bit.

If you want to keep everything contained to this thread, you are more than welcome to do so. It's the baseball general board and fair game. I only posted that because I interpreted a post as wanting a fantasy baseball forum. That's all. Other than that, I just want to say welcome aboard (again).

I was thinking about this when I signed up but wasn't sure where to inquire about getting a forum set up. It's all you D, you already got props from Hammer when you signed up.

I'd say to early. Even if you are weak in a category, getting some points now and have a chance later is better than getting no points and having no chance later.

That is a question you can best answer. And, it would be based on your team and situation. Give us an overview of what you are concerned about now, like the catagory, your team as it stands now, and say 5 spots of said catagory with the totals to date, and we can give you a much better answer.

Unless your team is stacked to give you top 4 numbers in every other category, there really is no good time to punt in roto.

In a 10 team 5x5 league if you punt saves, that leaves only 90 points you can get. If you somehow manage to average 8 points in the remaining 9 categories, that's just 72 points. That would put you in 3rd right now in my league, and that's if you dominate all the other categories.

What category are you thinking of punting, saves or stolen bases? (cause those are the two logical choices)
