Yep - like it or not Smith is the Skins QB now. Doesn't matter if they should have kept somebody else, drafted someone else or selected a different FA. He is their guy so let's root him on & hope for the best.

Smith was jettisoned because for the second time in his career, Smith's team realized he wasn't good enough to build a super bowl winning roster with. So they went with a higher upside option.

now to the important stuff , we gave him a decent back , a decent young deep threat , and hopefully we have a healthy squad . the defense should be better

if everything falls into place we could be a serious player in 2019/2020 as our drafts picks mature and we get more depth

if you dont have many "wow" players then a strong deep LOS becomes important and good depth is important so there isnt a huge drop off if we get an injury or 2

if you are being fair giving CDC 3 years to do it is about right

Some will point to the rushing yards of Alex Smith as a positive. I would say he runs more because he doesn’t make the tough throws. I will also point out KC has 13 TDs and Alex has 8 rushing.

Now these are the stats over the last three seasons. One thing we will see for sure is more will be asked of Alex Smith here. He will have to take chances. Now, Alex is fortunate in a couple of key things. The first is we have a real RB and the second is we have a real DL.

i will hold CDC to the same standards the "doubters " had for KC . if healthy this team should make noise just dont sell me that i should do cheetah flips for 7-9 wins for my sports "entertainment " and call that a win

if what i am told CDC is about, then an NFC title game appearance should be in the cards if he is better then what we had

only people who speak with fear think that is too much . KC should get a playoff win with this healthy team . better would mean 2 playoff wins

now if we are talking equal but in a thrift shop manner then a playoff win would be considered a win

but selling me that 7-9 wins is a victory , then sorry, but giving up the resources to tread water is bad business

now me as a fan want to see our team compete for and win superbowls not be aspire for more then product the team puts out on the field
