I know 23 year old Gleyber Torres’ career is over according to you, but most executives are probably not swapping him for the older Marte
I do love the way you project this stuff onto me. You are the one that wanted to send Torres to the minors earlier in the year. I’m confused about his backward progression, but I certainly never said he was done.

All that said, your response has nothing to do with Marte and I’ll assume you didn’t know just how good he was in 2019(or how young he was).

Red Sox/A’s/Rays/Astros/Blue Jays

All good teams with not so special starting staffs

It’s become a hitting and bullpen league

Backward progression?

As my teenage daughter would say "He's leading MLB in May batting average, but go off"

No, “backwards progression” meaning he hit 38 HR’s in 144 games when he was 22, but has hit 5HR’s in 81 games since. Or 90 RBI’s v. 34 RBI’s over the same timeframe. Or .871 OPS v. .717 OPS. But that May batting average is something to reckon with, for sure.

He had a lousy 2020, and a lousy April.

But he's been on fire in May-actually has been passable at SS as well, which I didn't think was going to happen.

Agree on the defense for sure, totally diff player, hopefully it’s letting him relax as a hitter

He’s definitely getting on base, but where is the power? Of his 18 hits in May, 15 of them have been singles.

He is the least of the Yankees concerns right now.....

This Frazier on Pitt becoming a hot name for the Yanks with Marte being the pipe dream if you believe any of the shit you read

They never make panic moves tho so be interesting if this is the team into July

The more I watch this Red Sox team, the less I believe they can really contend this year. Their pitching is just very mediocre all around. There are bright spots here and there, but no consistency at all. And their lineup is definitely good, but they can be pitched to. Wheeler and Morton made them look foolish. They don’t seem to handle the good pitching at all.

Yankees would have the most depth in MLB adding their 7th second baseman to the team.....

Cashman loves to trade with Pittsburgh and Seattle.

Wouldn't be surprised if he's kicking the tires on Taylor Trammell who got demoted by Seattle, but is tearing up the PCL.

True but it’s becoming a season where the teams that can actually hit will be the ones winning a lot. Seems everyone can pitch in baseball these days

You are going to accuse me of overrating everyone you express interest in, but Frazier is leading the league in hits.

Also, Chris Gittens is not on the 40 man, but he's slashing .323/.523/.774 in Scranton. I think if they move Hicks to the 60 day DL, they can add him-but not 100% sure

Next weekend will be very interesting. Can't remember the 1st Yankee/Sox series coming this late before.

That’s why they like him.
Teams so far from contention need to trade some value for multiple pieces of value
