MLB Daily Thread: 9/25/2017: AL East Lead at 5 games, D-backs clutch win & Kershaw wins his 18th

Posted this on the AL East board Friday night. Thoughts @DirtDirtDirt ?

If I'm the Yanks, this would be my ALDS pitching rotation assuming Sevy pitches the WC game.

Game 1- Sonny Gray
Game 2- CC Sabathia
Game 3- Luis Severino
Game 4- Tanaka

Should be noted that I fully expect Joe to swap CC and Tanaka which will be a horrible move IMO.

CC road splits are so much better than Tanaka's.

7-3 with 3.18 ERA

Knew he was supposed to return soon, glad he's back on the mound.

Didn't realize Wheeler went down for the season. His future outlooks seems rather iffy

Yep, he might need to just hang em up. Wheeler was already technically out for the year but they just moved him to the 60-day to make room for Noah. He actually started the year off pretty well.

Indians with three games at home vs each Twins and White Sox.

Astros on the road three vs Rangers, four vs Red Sox.

If Tribe goes .500 (which is unlikely), they finish 101-61.

Astros would have to go 6-1 to catch them.

I don't know if they use season series to break that potential tie, but Indians lead that 5-1.

I hear ya...He might have wanted this more than the team did. Seems like this was a compromise move. I didn't see the point myself either.
